Happy Birthday Maureen!

Just remember life is like a box of chocolates. So to speak.

I stopped watching Glee this past season.

It got kind of boring. I mean I like the songs but the fact that 30 year olds were playing 17 year olds got old kind of fast. Also they ladled on the preaching last season. They hit you over the head about how being gay was the greatest and everybody else who kind of didn't think so were icky bigots or something. So I just got out of the habit of watching it.

Some time ago I put up a post about one of the characters in the show. There was this head cheerleader called Quinn who went on the Glee Club to sabotage it. She was pretty cute and all the guys wanted to be with her and all the girls wanted to be her friend. But she was a nasty piece of work and did the bidding of the nasty cheerleader coach who coincidentally was an over opinionated blond schoolteacher. Anyhoo this character had a redemption story line including partial paralysis in a car accident and a whole lot of shit. Totally unbelievable.

So it is funny when you see it reinacted in real life.

There I hope that is obscure enough for youse guys.
