Frank Cannon got stuck behind the wheel of a Lincoln Contiental for your sins!

I am currently reading a history of Quinn Martin who was a producer of shows during the sixties like The Untouchables, Cannon, Barnaby Jones and 12 O"Clock High.

It is amazing what you can find on kindle.

But you have to be careful. Some of the scholarly works are very expensive. There was a study about Medieval Knights in movies and television that went for over thirty bucks! I almost got it by accident.

I never broke a book!

My fuckin' kindle is already broken! The screen is all jumbled up and I can't read it. Which sucks because I have about fifty books on it and am reading three of them at the same time! So I am stuck with no reading material. Which sucks even more than usual because we are going to the Moda/ENK shows tomorrow and I need the kindle to while away the hours while the wife looks at crap we are never gonna buy for the store.

Luckily I am under warranty so they are shooting one right out to me even before I send back the broken one. Which is pretty cool. But still. This shit doesn't happen when you buy books.

Of course the stack of kindles doesn't fall over and bury you either so there is that.

Ghost Story

I just downloaded the latest Harry Dresden Novel from Jim Butcher which is called "Ghost Story" and it is pretty damn good.

I have something to read this weekend. I have been busy downloading some of my old favorites and so far this week I have read Bendigo Shafter, Winds of War, Tros of Samothrace and three Matthew Scudder novels including "When the Sacred Ginmill Closes."

I am kinda loving my kindle....whoda thunk it?

I am your basic old school guy. I try to do almost everything the way we used to do it back in the day. So when the kindle came out I was all against it. I love the feel of a book. I read them over and over. Recently when "Game of Thrones" came on everyone was amazed about how much I remember about it but that was only because I had read it about twenty times.

I remember who I scoffed about the kindle and that I would never use it. Then the wife bought it for me and I am loving it. Now she only bought it because she hates my books. You see I have them all over the place. Piles and piles of them. Of all kinds. History, mystery, science fiction and cooking. She just freaks out that I have so many. So she thought with the kindle the tall piles of books wouldn't be falling over all the time.

I have been buying books on the kindle like it is going out of style. I just have to think of one and then I order it for about five bucks. It sort of reminds me of when CD's came out. I have some stuff on vinyl, cassette and CD's. I am just chugging along buying stuff left and right.

Oh and I bought the whole "Game of Thrones" four book set. And I reread them.

It was great.
