Hey Trent Tucker...either you shrunk or I got taller.

Or this guy I met on the cruise was not ex-Knick Trent Tucker. Just sayn'

Oh and by the way here is the real Trent Tucker:

We all come with a lot of baggage

I blog to publish my own writing, and I include comments as a way for me to interact with readers and to amplify and get different angles on things I want to talk about. I'm not about devoting my work to maintaining a social media website for people who don't care about what I'm writing. That's the enterprise of people like Denton who are designing a mechanism for making a lot of money. As an individual expressing myself — with the long-time motto "To live freely in writing" — I am more like the commenters upon whom Gawker is leveraging its Kinja scheme

But we still have to put up with each other. That is what normal people do. Otherwise you would never talk to anyone and all you would do is rent dogs and take photo's of absolutely nothing.

Waves......

It was so peaceful with a glass of wine on the back of the ship as it steamed to the Caribbean.

The real reason I am not allowed to rock climb.

I bet you can figure it out.

Yeah right!

Sure I am gonna go rock climbing on my vacation.

That's not how I get my rocks off so to speak.

Ain't happening. It wouldn't be prudent.

Sixty Grit said..If that's in reference to the Spinelli meet-up, then ew!

No that as in reference to my honey.

This is in reference to the meet up. I hope I don't embarrass the wife with my table manners. You see I kind of eat like Fred Flintstone. Just sayn'

All hands on deck!

For the Barbeque. Good stuff. Lo Mein. Chicken pieces. Hot bread. Sausages.

Bet you didn't know they liked to Barbeque on board.

The Shadow of your Smile

One day we walked along the sand, one day in early spring
You held a piper in your hand to mend its broken wing
Now I'll remember many a day and many a lonely mile
The echo of a piper's song, the shadow of her smile
The shadow of your smile, when you are gone
Will color all my dreams and light the dawn
Look into my eyes my love and see
All the lovely things you are to me
Our wistful little star was far too high
A teardrop kissed your lips and so did I
Now when I remember spring, all the joy that love can bring
I will be remembering the shadow of your smile

Hey we had a good time at the White Party!

No it is not what you think it is Sixty. If only!

It is a party that everyone gets dressed up in white. We didn't have all white outfits so we put together whatever we could. It was on the second to the last night of the cruise when we would be sailing all day the next day so everyone got polluted.

I have to see if I can download some of my hot dance videos.

There was just a bunch of animals on this cruise.

They were pretty scary when they were all gathered together in one place.

Hey it's time for dinner so it's time for Cagney's

We ate at Cagney's steakhouse about four times on the cruise. They had a great menu. No kids running around. Good wine at decent prices. Right up our alley.

The wife isn't a big fan of beef but she does love filet mignon. The filet mignon here was superb.
But it was the side dishes that sealed the deal. Garlic mashed potato. Creamed corn. Onion rings. Mushrooms. Mac and cheese. Great steakhouse favorites.

I wish I didn't have to go home to cook right now and we could just go to Cagney's.

Sometimes it works out right.

Like when you can sit in the sun in a deck chair and have a beer. This was great. We did the cruise a little different this time. It was only the two of us so we were very laid back. We didn't have to rush to shore excursion or some activity or something. We got the last dinner reservation so we could take our time getting ready. We got to chill out and relax.

A beer and a chair and my kindle to read. I was pretty happy.

Some times you have to go topless in the Spa

It's just sad that I had the biggest and perkiest boobs in the joint.

NO FAIR SNEAKING UP ON ME WHILE I AM SLEEPING!

I mean I want to dive right in.

About ten inches of water is just my speed.

This was at the private island owned by the cruise line called Stirrup Cay. The deal with these private islands are that they are all pretty much the same. It is always in the least desirable part of any island because all the good beaches are hooked up to beachfront hotels. This joint had an unbelievable number of rocks that hurt your feet as you walked out into the ocean. So you had to walk like you were walking on hot coals. The wife was smart and bought these rubber swim shoes that protected her feet but my clodhoppers got all cut up.

I don't to wallow around today.....

Well I do want to wallow. But in the crystal clear waters of the Caribbean. We all have to go on with our lives. We can pause to remember and say a prayer. But the business of getting and spending continues on a pace.

I just wanted to cheer youse guys up!

Nightime on the Norweigan Gem

It is beautiful on the deck at night time. The ship is all lit up but is kinda peaceful and quiet. You don't hear the music from the clubs and all the little bastards are in bed. We normally got a 9:30pm reservation so when we finished around 11pm we would go for a walk around the deck to walk off some of the filet mignon. It was beautiful.

Thank God the wife doesn't want to push me off the ship.

Poor little penguin.

Poor little penguin. So cold even though we are on a cruise in the Caribbean. You have to huddle up for warmth.

At least you can eat some chocolate and play bingo. And check out what the shore excursion are for tomorrow.

Chill the fuck out penguin. You are on a cruise after all. Jeeez.

View from the hot poop deck

This is the view from the front of the spa. It was at the front of the ship and had these great windows where you could look out as you lay on a padded lounge chair and read your kindle and relaxed. It was a quiet zone so everyone was not really talking. Just lazy and reading and enjoying the view.

Much better than baking in the sun while platoons of little scumbags rush past you talking in strange foreign languages. If I wanted that I would have taken a vacation on the "A" train for crying out loud.

This view was the exact opposite of the one from our Balcony. Both were wonderful.

I can't go to the pool....it is full of obnoxious kids

The pool was packed every day with kids. They had a half ass water slide but they were everywhere.
Paticularly in the hot tub. They had two pools for the kids. One was a very small one for the toddlers and the other one kids were allowed. The third pool was for adults only but that was always jammed. The problem was that the pool the kids could get in was too deep for a lot of them and they couldn't stand up in it so they just jumped into the hot tub. So all of the hot tubs were full with children all of the time.

Not for us. It was spa time.

Spa Style Cruising.

No that doesn't mean what you think it means.

There were way too many kids on this cruise. We thought they would be going to school and shit but it seems that starts a week later. Also the first stop was in Florida and all the little bastards took a day trip to Disney World or Universal Studios. So there was a shit pot full of the little fuckers running around the ship and in the pool and what not.

So we got a spa membership for the whole cruise. They only can see about 80 of them to keep the crowds down which was great. What was unique about this cruise was that they had a large coed area. Normally they have a men and a womans side in a spa on a ship. I mean you can get a couples massage but if you were going to hang out you had to be on either the men's or the women's side. We want to be together and this worked out perfectly.

First of all they had this giant whirlpool and hot tub that was always empty.
You could soak in the hot tub in the upper left hand corner of the photo away from all the kids and nonsense in the regular hot tubs. Or go into the whirlpool. They had a bunch of water jets you could put against you back or legs to get them relaxed and a platform that you could lay on to just rest in the whirlpool action. It was phenomenal.

Then when you were rested and wrinkled you got out and wrapped yourself in towels and laid on this heated porcelain couches.
The feeling that you got from the heat was wonderful. You dried off but you still rested you aching muscles. It was so very relaxing and chill.

Everyday we scheduled a treatment. One day it was acupuncture but most of the time it was a massage. We got a bamboo massage, a herb infused massage and a hot stone massage. Man that really relaxes you can gets you feeling mellow. Just what we needed .
