Now I know why I got slices of filet mignon on my last trip to Incognito. Beef prices have skyrocketed to 11% more than a year ago. So you burgers and steaks are increasing drastically in price. Or they give you smaller pieces or cheaper cuts.
I think they just gave me less than the 8oz filet that I paid for because the increase in price has just hit them too hard.
Com'on Evi where is the cheap little cud chewing we know and love?

Hey get out you meat and get ready to do some stuffing.

Rachael Ray
Nigella Lawson
Little Big Head Gaida De Laurentis
Ina Garten the Barefoot Contessa
Jamie Oliver
Even though I love both Rachel and Nigella, I have to cast my vote for Ina Garten the Barefoot Contessa. Her cooking, her personality, her relationship with her husband and her porcelain creamy skin make it easy for me.
What's you pleasure.

Thanks for the links.

Once again, I would like to thank Professor Althouse for the link that brought so many new people to listen to me vent about my problems. I hope that the professor can get the link's she needs, but we will have to rely on someone else to handle it for us. So to speak.

ITALIAN MEAT LOAF, so go f yourself you skinny bitches.

Recipe courtesy Michael Chiarello
ITALIAN MEAT LOAF
2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
1 red pepper, seeded, small diced
1 onion, diced
2 teaspoons (about 3 cloves) chopped garlic
1 pound ground beef
2 eggs
3/4 cup bread crumbs
1 cup grated Parmesan
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
2 tablespoons chopped basil leaves
1 tablespoon chopped parsley leaves
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 cup marinara sauce
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Heat 1 tablespoon of the olive oil in a medium saute pan over medium heat and add the peppers, onions and garlic. Saute until just soft, remove to a plate and cool.
When the peppers and onions are cool, combine all of the remaining ingredients together except for the marinara. Pack the meat mixture into an oiled loaf pan, if you do not have a loaf pan, form the meat mixture into a loaf shape on an oiled oven tray or baking dish. Top with the marinara making sure to spread evenly over the top.
Bake for approximately 50 to 60 minutes or until an instant-read thermometer registers 160 degrees F in the middle of the meatloaf. Remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes. Slice and serve.

The comfort food poll.

Ok now it is time to let us know what is your favorite comfort food. You how they say that home is the place they have to take you in when you show up no matter what? Well what do they put on the table when you sit down in the kitchen. Your choices:
Meat loaf and mashed potato.
Macaroni and cheese
Fried Chicken.
Fish and Chips.
Let me know what you think about the choices. I will add a new one if enough people suggest it.
I vote for the meat loaf by the way.

Hey meat or fish baby?

OK here is our new poll. What is your favorite sandwich? You know the one if you have one to take to the game and you have your choice you will wrap up in the wax paper and bring it to the stadium with a couple of brewski's. Now assume that it will be hot because there is a stand right outside so there is no issue as to the taste. The one when you go up to your buddy's tailgate party that you ask for.
Which is your favorite out of these four taste treats:
The Meatball parmigiana hero.
The Philly Cheese steak hero.
Hot Pastrami on Rye.
The Oyster Po-boy.
Chew on that one for a while.
