It's De Blasio time .....and nobody was flying the Confederate Flag

A woman was pistol whipped and robbed a couple of doors away from Bill De Blasio's house in Park Slope. He is renting it out so his police detail was not around. So these mooks figured it was good hunting in Park Slope.

From the New York Post:

"A woman was pistol-whipped by two thugs during an attempted robbery just doors from Mayor de Blasio’s home in Park Slope, cops said Monday.
The 43-year-old woman was attacked by two men who targeted her while driving by her parked car on 10th Street near Seventh Avenue early Sunday, cops said.
The thugs hopped out of their car and pulled her out of her vehicle, with one jamming a silver handgun in her mouth and demanding she hand over her cash, cops said.
When the woman fell to the ground, clutching her purse, one of the attackers repeatedly bashed her in the head with the weapon before both men jumped back in their car and drove off without any loot."
It looks like they robbed two women a few blocks away on Degraw Street so they made out.
Meanwhile the citizens of the city are going to have to brace themselves for a long hot summer.

Will baseball survive.........the Obama Apocalypse

Baseball and Football are fundamentally different in one very important respect.

Football is primarily a suburban sport in big stadiums that you reach on the interstate. Like Giants Stadium or Foxboro. Baseball especially the old line teams are much more urban playing on "Fields" in the inner city. Yankee Stadium. Fenway. Wrigley Field. Camden Yards.

The recent incident where they held the crowd back because of riots in the streets of Baltimore reminds me of how close to the edge the survival of baseball really is in the real world. Baseball has become a sport where white people pay a lot of money to see Hispanics play ball in a black neighborhood. Baseball has destroyed it's traditional working class clientèle. Or at least the Yankees and the Mets have in their ticket pricing policies and seat license fees for their new ball parks. The seats are all owned by corporations and businesses who take a write off. The old time season ticket holders are gone. Most working class or middle class people get their tickets in the resale market from Stub Hub or some other ticket exchange. The days where you would buy a Sunday plan or a weekday plan are gone because it is just too expensive. So you are not getting the real "fanatics" who come out by hell or high no matter what. Corporate people will not put their clients at risk. Who is going to give out tickets to clients who have to wait in the park until the rioting stops.

I remember the 1970's and 1980's when it was much the same. Yankee stadium was considered a war zone where people were afraid to bring their families. The rise in popularity of the Mets was in part directly attributable to the fact that people didn't want to go to the South Bronx. Those days are coming back. It seems that a lot of people don't want to pack into graffiti scarred packed trains to be harassed going in and going out of the ball park. Or walk a couple of blocks to their cars and dodge homeless beggars and squeegee men. You are not going to pay the big bucks and put up with that crap.

What happened it Baltimore this weekend is part and parcel of the racialism and resentment policy of Obama and the progressive movement. The entire power structure in Baltimore is black. The mayor. The city council. The police chief. A majority of the police force. But still there are riots and violence because of police misconduct. I don't know the rights and wrongs of that particular case but there is no reason for the riots and civil unrest before any investigation or trial. The sense of entitlement and racial resentment stoked by Obama and Holder and Sharpton and MSNBC and the New York Times is boiling over.

Baseball and their inner city stadiums might just be collateral damage.

It's De Blasio Time.........Everywhere!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bill De Blasio is positioning himself to be the Democratic nominee if Hillary Clinton fails. That's right the Communist Mayor of New York City  actually thinks he has a shot at getting elected President.

It is everywhere in many publications like the New York Post.

A source close to the Comrade De Blasio: De Blasio’s hope, the operative said, is a “Draft de Blasio’’ movement will develop among progressive activists over the next several months that will lead to the mayor being able to defeat Clinton in the primary elections next year in much the same way leftist Sen. George McGovern successfully challenged the initially front-running establishment Democratic candidate, Sen. Edmund Muskie, more than 40 years ago.

The arrogance and the audacity of these people know no bounds. New York Mayors with inflated egos have tried this before. John Lindsey. Rudy Giuliani. And the one guy who might have made a good President.  Fernando Wood.

Of course he was a pimp so he had previous relevant experience.

De Blasio time

So this is how it is. I have told the story about the kids who would come out of the store and act like little hooligans as they walked down Court St to the Red Hook projects. How Nelson and Abdul and I had to stand outside of our stores and watch them as they walked by. Well it has been the winter and they have been kind of subdued lately. It is too cold to fuck around. But there was an incident on Tuesday that sort of set the tone for how it will be this summer in NYC.

We have these neighbors on the block where we live. They are old time Carroll Gardens people. I know the husband since we were ten. The wife is from Bensonhurst and we would run into them all the time. They are like us. They know all the merchants and the guys at the old time places like Marco Polo and the Red Rose. They are particularly tight with the owner of the gym on the corner. The wife is good friends with Lisa and they stop and talk all the time when we pass in the street.

So she comes in yesterday to tell us a story. It seems she was walking down the street pushing her wagon full of groceries and what not when she was suddenly surrounded by a bunch of these rowdy kids. They were shouting and roughhousing and talking about they were going to "mess up this kid." One of the kids goes "I gots to get this off my back to get ready when it goes" and reaches in his back. His partner goes "Yo stupid the white lady heard you," Now she kept her head down and kept walking but when she got to the corner she looked up and the kid had opened his jacket and he had a gun. He made some threats and then continued down the street to the subway. Naturally she called the cops. The 76th precinct not 911. They said they would send someone right out. After a half an hour with nobody showing up she left.

Now she could have come into the store as she was right across the street but we are closed on Tuesday. She came it tell us that this had solidified a decision that her family had made a while ago. They were selling out their brownstone and moving South. It is only going to get worse and worse. The police are not just lazy but handcuffed by the new administration. It is back to the 1970's, If you stand up for yourself you are branded a racist. So it is time to move on.

It is another brick in the wall. You know?

It's De Blasio time

So Comrade Mayor De Blasio was late as usual to the St Patricks Day parade in the Rockaways. He came a half an hour late and arrived by boat. Which infuriated the people in the Rockaways since he canceled their ferry service.

The mostly old white crowd mocked and jeered at him with the "Worst Mayor Ever" chant which is pretty interesting when you consider most of them are old enough to remember Abe Beame and David Dinkins. Comrade De Blasio shrugged it off as he always does and pretended like everything was fine. Of course he is not marching in the farce of the regular St Paddy's Day parade because there is only one gay group marching. He wants every gay group to be able to march waving dildoes and wearing ass less chaps.

That won't happen until next year based on our Cardinal that ever so brave Cardinal Dolan. He needs time to "evolve to that standard." Give him time. He will get there.

After all. Who is he to judge.

De Blasio tries to cover his ass

So Red De Blasio met with the police unions to try and salvage this messed up situation. He can't. He has only one play.

You see the cops know that De Blasio does not support them and never did no matter how many mealy mouth lies he tells now. His heart is with Al Sharpton and the protestors. If he wasn't Mayor he would be right there with them. So the cops will never believe him when he tells them he supports them. As the union reps said time will tell. He has only one play with the cops.

He has to bribe them.

They will take a bribe. If he gives them a big raise he might win some of them over. They might start enforcing the revenue raising regulations that they have dropped this past week as documented by the New York Post. You see all of the cops are on a ticket quota. So many speeding tickets. So many parking tickets. Quality of life tickets. Revenue for the unceasing demands of big government. If you don't get your quotas the bosses punish you. No overtime. Shitty vacation slots. Midnight tours. So you have to make the quota or get screwed. But if everyone is not doing it you can't get screwed. No tickets get written.

That really hurts the theory of community policing. You see the idea is you stop the little crimes and identify who is committing them by running them through the system. That is how you catch the guys who have outstanding warrants and get them to roll over on other criminals. Those guys are not getting caught when they jump a turnstile. They are free to do whatever they want. Promoting a feeling of lawlessness and anything goes. The way De Blasio did when he allowed the protesters to vent and block traffic and do whatever they want. Not enforcing the law only leads to one thing. Lawlessness.

So De Blasios only play is to spend his way out of this mess. It might be a liberal Democrats preferred move but will his supporters allow him to do it? They will demand that he use that money to pour into the rathole of public education or welfare benefits. They will never agree to give it to the cops. He is screwed. I don't see a way out of it for him. He will never drop Sharpton or the race card. He doesn't have a move to make here.

Doubling down on stupid!

Mayor Bill De Blasio has doubled down on stupid.

When he examined the cases of Michael Brown and Eric Garner he was proud to announce that he told his son to be afraid of cops. To walk softly and be afraid that at any moment they might beat, arrest even kill him. Every cop. Not just a bad apple. To walk in fear of the police.
When he was asked if his incendiary rhetoric and his warm embrace of protestors who shouted “Kill the Police”……Mayor De Blasio blamed the press:

Reporter:"Mr. Mayor, you were referring to protesters as people who are working to advance justice in society. The chants that we were hearing at the protests, ''NYPD-KKK. How do you spell racist? KKK.' Would you be comfort able with your young adults in your household chanting like this at the protests, and we're hearing virtually every protest?"

Mayor de Blasio: "Of course not," de Blasio responded. "We've talk about this so many times and I'm not going to talk about it again. And now the question now is, what are you guys going to do? What are you guys going to do? Are you going to keep dividing us?"

"I am telling you over again again, that's how you want to portray the world but we know a different reality. There are people who do that. It's wrong. It's wrong. They shouldn't do that. It's immoral, it's wrong, it's nasty, it's negative. They should not do that but they, my friend, are not the majority. Stop portraying them as the majority.”

Of course he never said that at the time of the relentless attacks on all policemen. Then every policemen was a potential murderer of his son. He warmly embraced the protests and did not speak out against them blocked traffic and disrupt the city day after day. He was quick to condemn every police officer who might come into contact with his son as a potential danger…as someone who would beat or kill him. Just as President Obama and Attorney General Holder have done repeatedly.

Mayor de Blasio surrounds himself with cop haters such as Al Sharpton and Rachel Noerdlinger. As noted by former Commissioner Ray Kelly the Mayor ran on an anti-police platform promising to tie their hands. Which he did as soon as he came into office and ended stop and frisk.
So to recap none of his actions or words did anything to stoke the fire of this deranged criminal who was in fact one of the protestors. There is video of this scumbag at a demonstration as he soaked up the hate and stoked his rage.

You see it is the fault of the press. Pontius de Blasio is just washing his hands and saying none of this has anything to do with him.

De Blasio must go.

The song remains the same......different day

There is nothing new under the sun. We have seen all this before.

In 1999 Amadou Diallo was shot dead by four policeman in a very unfortunate incident that was every bit as publicized and exploited as that of Michael Brown. Four undercover policemen tried to stop Mr. Diallo to question him in regard to the search for serial rapist. Mr. Diallo fled from the police most likely because of a language barrier and the fact that he was an illegal immigrant. Mr. Diallo ran into a vestibule where the house light was out and he was silhouetted by the hall light. He took out his wallet and one of the cops panicked and shouted gun. The cops fired 41 times and tragically Mr. Diallo died.

That tragedy was also gleefully exploited by many of the same bad actors that involved in the current attacks on the police. There were daily demonstrations at One Police Plaza and the usual collection of progressive demagogues such as Al Sharpton, Susan Sarandon, Tim Robbins, David Dinkins, Basil Patterson. Harry Belafonte and the rest of the band were arrested daily and freed in ten minutes with a desk appearance ticket in a no cost day of outrage. Every day the outrage and hate was flamed and the police department was once again under siege. The officers were brought to trial by a multiracial jury in Albany and acquitted. They could not get a fair trial in NYC because of the racial inferno incited by these “activists.” Still a jury of their peers acquitted them. Not that it mattered to the racial arsonists and poverty pimps and the politicians who represent the criminal class.

The progressive left reveled in their protests at the time. But a few short years later something else happened. 911.

Suddenly cop and fireman hate was not fashionable. There was a rally at MSG to “support” the cops and fireman. Hillary Clinton came and was booed off the stage. Sarandon and Robbins and De Niro and bunch of others were told to take a walk. They wanted to pretend that they actually supported the uniform services and wanted accolades for their pretend concern. They were rightfully scorned and ignored.
You see you need to step up and speak up when the crowd is shouting against the law. When the pro criminal crowd was shouting “Kill the Police”….that was the time for De Blasio and Obama and Holder to speak up. When hipster and libtard professors are blocking traffic so ambulance can’t get through and people die…well that is the time to say something. When the protestors where fighting and beating those two police lieutenants on the bridge. When that college professor was throwing a garbage can into ongoing traffic. Not now. It is too late.

Obama and De Blasio will never say “That could have been my son” about these cops. Because you know that their children or the children of any of the professors or journalists or pundits will ever be cops or fireman or soldiers. Cops and fireman come from the working class.  Contrary to Obama and Holder and Sharpton and De Blasio they are not all racist white guys from Long Island. They are Spanish and Asian like the two cops who died. They are black like the sergeant who was in charge when Garner died. Working class men and woman with families who put their bodies between you and the criminal class like Michael Brown.

Those are the people who they hate. Those are the people who they want dead. Those are the people that they scorn. These murders are directly due to their actions. To hateful rhetoric and political posturing. They have blood on their hands.

It's De Blasio Time.

Two police officers were shot in their patrol car today as they sat outside a housing project. One is dead at this point and another is critical. There are conflicting reports that the perp might have been shot at the subway station. Reports differ.

I wonder if that college professor who was arrested for throwing a garbage can on the Brooklyn Bridge will protest? Will the hipster who closed down traffic stop to think about these two men? Will De Blasio and Obama go on TV and say "That could have been my son?" Will Rosie O'Donnell and Whoopi Goldberg and Steven Colbert and Jon Stewart and Chris Matthews and Rachael Maddow all talk about how terrible this is on their shows?

I am old enough to remember Officers Piagentini and Jones. To remember what NYC in the 1970's was really like. How you were afraid to ride the subway. Walk down the street. Go to Times Square. Those oh so happy days are here again.

It's De Blasio time.

Take the temp here in Brooklyn

Michael Haz asks what is happening in Brooklyn.

Well everything is ok because the lunatics are in charge of the asylum. De Blasio checks everything he does with Sharpton. There is a bill before the City Council that the cops  can not search anyone unless they get written permission. Any cop who even looks crosswise at a criminal will now be brought up on charges and tortured to the delight of the cheering crowd. So cops don't go one step out of  their way.

Everyday a group of yutes come out of school at about 3pm and walk down Court St. They are boisterous animals which is generally normal for teenagers. They shove and push each other and every other day they knock into the sign outside the store and knock it over. So at a quarter to three I close the sign and lean it against the wall until they pass. Yesterday they knocked over some of the flowers that Nelson had outside his bodega next door. He rushed out and started yelling at them because he is one tough little Dominican. Big Mistake. Now they will do it every day. The police will do nothing. It will escalate every day. One little mistake and his life will be ruined even though he is totally in the right and protecting his property. When  Lisa chased the masked intruder out of the store with a bat the cops showed up an hour later and told us we weren't supposed to do that.  That we could be prosecuted.  So you have no recourse.

Not in De Blasio's New York.

I am taking proactive steps to be prepared for the next incident. Because there will be another incident.

Of that you might be sure.

Search Me .....Just get it in writing.....Or else

New York Post November 14,  2014
Advocates of a bill that would force cops to get written permission before searching suspects conceded Thursday they still haven’t discussed the proposal with the NYPD.
Opponents blasted the failure to consult police as a callous lack of transparency.
“It shows New Yorkers what little regard some people have for the NYPD,” said City Councilman Eric Ulrich (R-Queens).
The bill, which is virtually identical to a 2012 proposal, was introduced Thursday to much fanfare.
Council members Ritchie Torres (D-Bronx) and Antonio Reynoso (D-Brooklyn) held a well-attended press conference on the steps of City Hall to tout their bill as a way to foster transparency between cops and residents.
“We all have an interest in improving the relationship between police and community,” Torres said.
The 2012 bill was sent to the Police Department before getting a public hearing, but Reynoso admitted this version was not.
“It wasn’t something they were open to, so we didn’t engage in new conversations with them just yet,” he said. "We also did not submit the bill that requires the police to get written permission before they arrest someone even if they hit them with a hachet."
Neither Mayor de Blasio nor Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito has given a position on the bill. But one of the key supporters, Kirsten John Foy, said he’s confident de Blasio will come around and isn’t worried about a possible mayoral veto.
“It doesn’t concern me because ultimately we all have the same vision,” say Foy, who used to work for de Blasio when he was public advocate and is now with Al Sharpton’s National Action Network.

Stupid Old White Man.....You thought you could work with these people?

New York Post November 2, 2014

Hell hath no fury like a first lady whose passed-over pick for police commissioner — the outgoing Chief of Department Philip Banks III — is further scorned.
“I told you we can’t trust him!” a furious Chirlane McCray railed at her husband, Mayor de Blasio, after learning that Police Commissioner Bill Bratton had stood up to Banks during a power struggle Friday that ended with the chief’s resignation, sources told The Post.
By “him” McCray meant Bratton, whom she never wanted to see at the commissioner’s desk.
“She is friendly with Banks, and he was her choice” for commissioner, a source said.
“She was very upset when he resigned,” the source said of McCray, who has sat in on NYPD CompStat meetings, and whom de Blasio has called his most trusted adviser.
By Friday afternoon, de Blasio had summoned Bratton to City Hall, blasting him face to face for not catering to Banks, who had resigned rather than take a promotion to No. 2 at the NYPD — a position Banks felt was powerless.
It was unclear where McCray was when her husband called Bratton on the carpet.
“Banks was used to getting his way,” another source said Saturday, noting that the previous commissioner, Ray Kelly, had “never said no to Banks.”
“Then Bratton comes on the scene, and Banks makes a power move. He wants more power, and he has the backing of City Hall and the Rev. Al [Sharpton]” to embolden him, the source said.
Modal Trigger

“All of a sudden, Banks is not getting what he wants.”
Banks told Bratton on Friday that he would take the No. 2 position of first deputy commissioner only if he could control the Internal Affairs Bureau and if his successor as chief of department reported directly to him.
“But Bratton, rightfully so, doesn’t want to relinquish any power. He’s the police commissioner,” the source said.
Banks apparently foresaw his power play’s outcome and had warned his closest aides earlier in the week that he expected to be stepping down.
Quitting could either be the best or worst move of Banks’ career, sources said.
He has long coveted the job of commissioner, and should he now try to stage a coup from outside One Police Plaza, he faces a weakened Bratton and has the widespread support of minority politicians and law-enforcement groups.
“If Bratton left and [Banks] was offered the commissioner job, why wouldn’t he take it?” another source said. “That’s the job he wanted in the first place.”
Modal Trigger
Mayor de BlasioPhoto: Chad Rachman
Banks was “the perfect choice,” for commissioner, City Councilman Andy King (D-Bronx), co-chair of the Black, Latino and Asian Caucus, said Saturday.
Banks’ departure also has de Blasio — not to mention McCray — angry.
Sharpton, too, has been a cheerleader, saying Saturday that Banks earned his respect after years of working together, even while Sharpton insists, “I do not make recommendations” on police personnel matters, only policy.
“No comment,” Banks told a Post reporter who asked about his resignation, or what he’d do if offered the commissioner job.
Some NYPD insiders said Banks is no longer heir apparent.
“He’s damaged goods,” one said. “A big crybaby who embarrasses the boss when he doesn’t get what he wants.”
Bratton too, is now “wounded,” said another source — despite the city’s low crime rates. In particular, homicide rates are on track for numbering under 300 for 2014, even with a stronger CCRB and the hamstringing of stop and frisk.
“Nobody knows better than Bratton what happens once your boss gets mad at you,” another source said, referring to Bratton’s firing in the 1990s by then-Mayor Rudy Giuliani.
Said another source of Bratton, “He’s between a rock and a hard place, with de Blasio putting Sharpton right up there with him and giving him equal standing.
“A lot of people have been wondering how long he’ll put up with it.”

"Doncha Know Who I Am.......Wait....It's Because I am Black!!!!!!"

The ex-con boyfriend of top City Hall aide Rachel Noerdlinger made a point of mentioning her name, her title and that she worked for the mayor's wife as he challenged several parking tickets in two hearings before city judges.

In one hearing, Hassaun McFarlan also argued “the police lied” and singled him out “because I’m black and I drive a nice car” in issuing the summonses against Noerdlinger’s Mercedes Benz as he used it earlier this year. McFarlan dropped Noerdlinger's name in a Sept. 24 proceeding before Administrative Judge Marisa Miranda.

“So Rachel gave you permission to come in?” Miranda asked, according to a recording obtained Friday by the Daily News. “That’s right,” McFarlan said. “She, um, she’s the chief of staff for the First Lady of New York City, so she ...” The judge cut him off. “I don’t care about that,” she said.

McFarlan also brought up Noerdlinger and named Mayor de Blasio’s wife, Chirlane McCray, at a July 9 hearing. Who’s Rachel Noerdlinger?” Judge Blueth Bromfield asked. “She’s the owner of the vehicle,” McFarlan said. “You’re the operator?” “I’m always the operator,” he said. “She’s the chief of staff of the First Lady Chirlane McCray. So I’m basically the driver.” Bromfield was unfazed. “OK. What’s your address?” she said. McFarlan, 36, sought the hearings to contest five parking tickets he received using 43-year-old Noerdlinger’s white e350 Mercedes Benz.

The July hearing got testy quickly, when the judge grilled McFarlan on what evidence he had in challenging a $115 ticket for parking at a fire hydrant.
“Is it evidence into consideration that the police be lying?” he said. At another point, McFarlan said, “The police lied. I didn’t do what they accused me to do.”
He also suggested that he was singled out because of his race.
“I’m black and I drive a nice car. I’m not driving an old piece; I drive all exotic cars. And I’m young. Every time I get out I’m having this problem. I got 20 tickets against me,” he complained.
“You being a black woman, I don’t know. Maybe you might have some understanding,” he told the judge.
Despite his protests of being railroaded, none of the tickets were issued by cops; they were written by traffic agents.
The judge was skeptical of his racial profiling claim.

“Generally, parking violations, you’re not in the vehicle,” she said. “They don’t know what color you are.”  McFarlan would not give up. “People are getting shot every day in the city and they are giving me a ticket? C’mon, that’s crazy. It makes no sense,” he said.
McFarlan — who has served time for manslaughter and drug trafficking, and has been busted for pot — then compared his plight to police brutality victims whose complaints are not believed. “Police assault (people) and people didn’t believe (the victims) until they saw people on tape getting assaulted by the police. It happens,” he insisted.
The judge was unmoved. She upheld all four parking summonses.

De Balsio's wife has a chief of staff who is banging a murderer. Nothing to see here.

New York DAILY NEWS, October 7, 2014
For Mayor de Blasio, a public official’s family and loved ones are entitled to privacy — unless they are needed for campaigning.
The mayor, who prominently featured his family in campaign ads while running for office last year, criticized the press Monday for “going too far” in reporting on the private life of a top City Hall aide. Rachel Noerdlinger, chief of staff to New York’s First Lady Chirlane McCray, has been under fire following a report last month that she is dating an ex-con who did time for manslaughter and has publicly referred to police officers as “pigs.”
Speaking at a news conference in Staten Island, de Blasio called Noerdlinger a “good public servant” and argued it’s time for the media to stop harping on her private life. “With all due respect to all of you and the job you have to do, this notion of let’s talk about people’s boyfriends, let’s talk about their children, it’s just going too far,” he told reporters. "Who do you expect her to date. A white guy. What are you racists. If she is going to date an African American of course he is going to have a record you racists."
Asked about the recent revelation that Noerdlinger failed to mention her boyfriend during a Department of Investigation background check, the mayor said she never intended to lie. “There was no effort to deceive,” he said. “I have absolute faith in her ability to serve the people of this city. I also await the awarding of reperations that I am entitled to due to my marriage to Weezy .....err..... Chirlaine. Case closed.”

It's De Blasio Time.. nobody is safe!

New York Post, September 25, 2014
Mayor Bill De Blasio has groundhog blood on his hands!
A week after Hizzoner dropped Staten Island Chuck in front of a crowd of spectators on Feb. 2, the winter-weather prognosticator died of internal injuries — and then the coverup began, The Post has learned.
Staten Island Zoo officials went to great lengths to hide the death from the public — and keep secret the fact that “Chuck” was actually “Charlotte,” a female impostor, sources said Wednesday.

The zoo told a few Staten Island Zoo supporters, but claimed the groundhog died of natural causes.Photo: Staten Island Advance
The stand-in was found dead in her enclosure at the Staten Island Zoo on Feb. 9 — and a necropsy determined she died from “acute internal injuries,” sources said.
She had fallen nearly 6 feet when the mayor lost his grip during the Groundhog Day photo op. Sources said her injuries were consistent with a fall.nstead of revealing the sad loss, the zoo — which gets nearly half of its $3.5 million in annual funding from the city — told the staff to keep the mayor’s office in the dark about the animal’s fate.
They told only a few zoo supporters — but claimed that the groundhog had died of natural causes.
“I was told he died of old age, that he went to that big farm in the sky,” said Assemblyman Matthew Titone (D-SI), who later learned how the animal had died.
The zoo also never revealed the biggest secret of all — that the part of Chuck was being played by Charlotte. Chuck was benched because the zoo feared he could bite de Blasio, as he did Mayor Michael Bloomberg in 2009.
The zoo doesn’t make public that it has stand-in groundhogs to protect the “groundhog brand,” insiders said.
A zoo spokesman tried to downplay the mayor’s role in the critter’s death, saying the animal was examined and seemed fine.
“It appears unlikely that the animal’s death is related to the events on Groundhog Day,” the spokesman said.
The mayor’s office learned of the death for the first time from The Post.
“We were unaware that Staten Island Chuck had passed but are sorry to hear of the loss,” said spokesman Phil Walzak.
The zoo plans to pull the same groundhog switcheroo next year by using the groundhog couple’s young daughter — also named Charlotte — in the role of Chuck, zoo sources said.

The Knockout game was back this Memorial Day.

For all of our friends who ridicule the coverage of the "Knockout" game there was a brand new outbreak this Memorial Day weekend in Cincinnati.

As reported at Instapundit there was a wave of Knockout game racial attacks during "The Taste of Cincinnati." What was unusual was that a media outlet reported the facts instead of using euphuisms. That is very unusual.

Yesterday I walked past De Blasio's house on 11th Street in Park Slope. There is a police cubicle outside his door to protect him and his family.

So the Knockout game is no big deal to him.

Mayor de Blasio brings people together.

So they broke my washing machine when they were putting the radiator back in the foyer where you go out to the back yard. The Chinese guy who was installing the radiator kept leaning on and banging the machine until it didn't work anymore. So I had to call the repair guy who had come once before to fix it up for me.

Now I can't live without my washer and dryer. We are way too busy to go to the Laundromat like we used to back in the day. Also the wife is way too fussy about her clothes to let some Mexican clean them with cheap soap and inferior fabric softener. Usually I throw a load in every night while I am cooking and by the end of the night we have a bunch of clothes cleaned. This way we don't let it pile up.

I had to bring our laundry this week and it was a major pain in the ass. So I pushed the guy to come and fix the machine. He has a store and Bay Ridge and he looks somewhat like this:

Mohammed is a devout Muslim with a milky eye because he had a stroke. He had the cap and a long salt and pepper beard. Just the kind of guy you know I could get along with.

But strangely enough we had a lot in common. We are both small businessmen and we both really hate Bill de Blasio. Mohammed used to have three stores and now he is down to one and is barely holding on. The taxes and work rules and signage rules and fines and penalties are conspiring to drive him out of business. He asked me "How can we stay in New York. They are driving us out." I had to agree. We both agree that New York will soon be only the very rich and the very poor. The middle class and the business owners are just going to move out of the city all together. Mohammed knows what de Blasio is all about. That he is on the side of the criminals and not the business owners. That he wants to implement a punitive tax schedule. Even a guy with one eyeball can see the writing on the wall.

He fixed up the machine and is going to come to the store to look at my air conditioning. He wants me to meet up with him and some of his friends for coffee on Atlantic Avenue to discuss what small businessmen can do. I asked him if he wanted to set up a "cell." He laughed.

But you know what. I am thinking about it.

Another Bullshit de Blasio Move

Now Mayor Sandinista has announced that he is boycotting the St. Patrick Day's parade because they parade doesn't let gays march. That is to say they can't march as gays. They can march as cops or fireman or band members or even members of the Knights of Columbus.  I mean look at this fuckin' guy. He has to be a sword swallower.

They just can't march as gays. That is what the gay parades are for. Of course if they marched as gays they would have to push the envelope. Soon you would have floats with dancing mo's with butt plugs. This is a Catholic parade that celebrates Catholic traditional values. Not that it matters to de Blasio and his ilk. They will never respect anyone else. In the guise of inclusion they will destroy anyone who does not think exactly like them.

Even gay mayors like Koch marched without a fuss. It is only a matter of time until de Blasio tries to ban the parade all together. It is gonna happen. This is just the first step. The economic benefit and tradition and joy that the parade brings mean nothing in the face of political correctness. So I would predict that the parade will not get a permit soon unless they knuckle under. I hope they cancel the parade if they try that.

Winter is here.

Another bullshit de Blasio move!

The word is that Mayor de Blasio is going to move to get rid of the sandwich boards that stores have outside on the sidewalk to get people to come in. These boards have been part of the fabric of the city for hundreds of years. But since it helps business he is against it.

I have one outside the shop that advertises sales and has a smart little saying to pique peoples interest. Another amenity of NYC life that will be destroyed by our new communist mayor.

Reason number 8652 why you should hate Bill de Blasio

He eats pizza with a knife and fork.

I mean the guy is a Red Sox fan. And he eats pizza with a fork.

Winter is here.
