Hey it's time for Thai food!

A little promotional video I did for Nine D Thai food for instagram.

The first time we went there Amy the owner came out and introduced herself and was very happy to see us. She kept going "I LUV FAT PEOPLE!!! FAT PEOPLE HAVE BIG BELLIES!!! THEY EAT SO MUCH!!!!! I LOVE FAT PEOPLE!"

Lisa was going to slug her until we found out her English was not too good. She became a very good friend who comes to our Christmas Party and gets drunk out of her face.

We asked her how things were at home in Thailand. She said " It very bad. All the Thai people are farting."

Lisa turned to me and I said "She means fighting." "Oh that makes sense."

After a couple of long days at the show....

It's time for some Thai food.

After the show and fabric shopping on Tuesday we went to NineD for some Thai. I was gonna cook but I was too exhausted so the wife said lets eat out. We were there early and got the window seat which is important because they don't like to turn on the fuckin air conditioner. There was a beautiful breeze so it was very pleasant.

We do what we always do which is order off the menu. We had normal appetizers. Springs. Veggie dumplings. Barbequed beef strips with a hot dipping sauce. But we went a little different with the entrees.

I had basil fried rice with beef which had egg and peas and chunks of beef in rice with spicy Thai basil mixed. Very hot and spicy and delicious.

The wife did something different. She ordered another serving of the barbequed beef with some brown rice and a big plate of sautéed broccoli in garlic sauce. She mixed them all together and made her own special dish.

It was slow on Tuesday night early so Amy the owner sat with us for an hour just shooting the breeze. You know small business stuff. Employees suck. Con Edison raising prices. Having to get rid of the TV because cable costs too much. You know the usual.

We were able to have a relaxing dinner at one of our favorite joints. And the words Marco Polo were not involved. Ha.

It's raining Alligators!

So while they are having a snowstorm in NYC in October we thought we would escape to Florida for some fun in the sun.

And it has done nothing but rain the whole time we were here.

No Pool. No beach. No going to the stores.

Just sitting in the house on the easy chair drinking beer.

(all those prayers to St Jude have worked)
