Carmelo Anthony gets it wrong......as usual

So New York Knick Loser Carmelo Anthony called for gun control after another Knick forward got robbed and shot after a night out partying. When asked about Cleanthony Early who got jacked, shot and robbed when returning from a strip club with his ho, the choker said: "I mean we’ve got to do something,” Anthony warned. “I mean you feel it. I felt it in Baltimore, in that situation, the Freddie Gray situation, and I’m feeling it now with a teammate of mine that’s much closer. It’s just something that we have to do. We’ve got to figure it out. I don’t know how we figure it out. I don’t have the answers. I’m pretty sure a lot of people are working on trying to figure that out. But we have to do something. We have to figure that part out.”

Now this was after another Knick forward Derrick Williams got robbed of $750,000 in jewelry by two ho's he brought back to his crib from the "Club." Now first of all you are looking for trouble bringing back two ho's for a three way. But who the hell has that much jewelry laying around?

These ballplayers of typical of today's NBA. They get big contracts...blow all the money....then are out begging for handouts on the corner. I much prefer the old school guys like Clyde Frazier who still has the first pair of platform shoes and big purple pimp hat that he ever bought. I know because he wore them on the Knick's broadcast the other night.

Now Carmelo Anthony is your typical moron ballplayer. What the fuck does Freddie Gray have to do with guns? He was a skell who was tuned up by other black dudes and died in custody. Now the savages did go wild killing each other with guns breaking records this year. But that is just Manny being Manny. Or Jamal being Jamal as it were. The Ferguson Effect was in full force as the cops  pulled back and the natives reverted to their natural state of violence and depravity.

Someone should school Melo. It's not the guns that need to be controlled. Just sayn'

The rule of three........

I am kinda freaking out today.

One of my favorite old time Knicks passed away a couple of days ago. As Spinelli noted Anthony Mason died from complications from congestive heart failure. You know. The thing I have. Nice right?

Mase was a hard nosed defender who was considered a dirty player by most of the league. But Knick fans loved him. He came out of nowhere after being cut by a couple of teams. Mase and John Starks became integral parts of the team and were not big time spoiled draft choices. He was the exact opposite of Charles Smith who cost us the chance to go to finals. They were the reason we had a great team all those years. They had to fight for everything and wouldn't give up like big time losers like Carmelo Anthony does on the current team.

The best part about his game was that he was a great hard nose defender. And he had a magnificent handle. He could grab a rebound and dribble it up the floor past the other teams point guards and slam it in their face. He did it in one game against Reggie Miller and the Pacers that they are still talking about. He was my favorite player on that team after the Xman left the team.

Of course he was a man of his times. He did lots of steroids and coke the cocktails of the '80's and '90's. I ran into him and Oakley at the Pernal Whittaker vs Buddy McGirt fight at the Garden and shook his hand. The dude was massive. His body just gave out. You can't abuse the machine and expect it to last. That is just the way it is.

Now with my favorite Knick gone and Artie Cherries that makes two. You know these things come in threes.

I had a Dream....but now it is dead

I had Dream on my team once.

Dean the Dream Memminger who played on the Knicks championship team as a backup to Walt Frazier and Earl the Pearl Monroe.

He died in a cheap hotel from a cocaine overdose which was a better end then we all thought he would have in the long run. A couple of years ago he set himself on fire smoking crack in a flop house.

This was a guy was a college star. When he walked into the Garden everybody took notice. He was a star in the pros. He was a coach. He threw it all away. For crack.

What a waste.

Man if the freakin' guy plays one day for a NY team than that leads in the headline!

So former Knicks guard Baron Davis claims he was abducted by aliens who poked at his orifices. No he didn't get fisted by a bunch of Mexican Day Laborers in the back of a pickup after they met in front of Home Depot. That's Titus Saturday night.

He claims that an alien space ship abducted by aliens when he was traveling between Las Vegas and Los Angles. And how does everyone identify him. As Ex-Knick Baron Davis. Look he was an Ex-
Golden State Warrior, LA Clipper, Charlotte Hornet and Cleveland Cavalier. This happens all the time. If a guy played for a New York Team and he does something wrong they always identify him as an ex-New Yorker. Even if the bulk of his career is form somewhere else.

A guy can play for the Yankees for two weeks and that is how he will always be identified. I mean they always call Rodger Clemens a "Ex-Yankee" when he is really an "Ex-Red Sox. This bullshit goes on all the time.

Now this nudnick is saying he got abducted by aliens. Com'on really you know you can never believe anything a guy name Baron has to say. What the fuck is the matter with you?

Jeeez.

Should I stay or should I go?

Every time we go to Long Island we ride down Atlantic Avenue instead of taking the highway. That is the straight shot instead of a loop de loop. And every time we do that we pass the new Net's stadium. It is going up really quickly and looks like it is going to be done in time for the Nets to be there next year. That leaves me with a problem.

You see I have been a Knick fan for a long time. I had season tickets for twenty years. But they priced me out of the arena as they have done to so many real fans. I have kinda lost touch with the team because I hate the management and the coach. Now a team is coming to a spot about twenty blocks from my house. And the tickets will most likely be cheap. Should I change my team?

Ndspinelli has spoken about how he has been a fan of different teams as he has moved around. A Giant fan when he live in Connecticut and a Chiefs fan when he lived in KC and now he is a front running Packers fan now that he lives in Cheeseland. I can understand you want to change teams when you move. But what do you do when the team moves next door to you?

I don't change that readily. I still have underwear from 1980. I mean I do change them don't get me wrong but I don't throw stuff away so easily. So I guess I will stay a Knick fan but I might check out a few Net's games.

Somebody has to cheer for Kris Humphries.

Maurice Lucas was one tough dude

Maurice Lucas passed away yesterday. He was the old time power forward from the Championship Portland Trail Blazers where he was Bill Waltons right hand man. He was one of the prototypical power forwards who changed the game. He could rebound shoot and pass and was a deadly competitor.

I remember when he played one season with the Knicks. It was the first year I bought a lot of tickets. Red Holzman was till coaching in 1981. They had some old timey guys. Marvin Webster. Randy Smith from the Braves. Michael Ray (the ship be sinking) Richardson. I remember when we got Paul Westphal from Boston. He played the last half of the season on and off due to injuries. When he threw a bounce pass the Garden went nuts because he and Lucas were one of the few on that team that knew how to play the game. Certainly Hollis Copeland and Larry Demic had no freakin idea.

Maurice was only a Knick for a year. Hubie Brown came in and brought his guys like Truck Robinson and Pat (I look like I had a Stroke)Cummings and turned the team upside down. But I have fond memories about Maurice as a Knick.

If you ever want to read a great book about Basketball, get "The Breaks of the Game" by David Halberstan that commie writer. He actually did a good job detailing the Trail Blazers year after they won the Championship. Especially the stuff with Kermit Washington. A good sports read.

Rest in Peace Maurice.

Eddie Curry: Davie?
Dave the limo driver: Yes'm.
Eddie Curry: You're my best friend.

Eddie Curry: Back to Garden. I have another game tonight.
Dave the limo driver: That’s right, you got in the game last night. First time in five years right?
Eddie Curry: Don’t be an asshole Dave. Jayson Williams still needs someone to drive him to court to cop a plea this week. Don’t you make me send you down there.
Dave the limo driver: Sorry Eddie. But you had a great game right?
Eddie Curry: Pretty good, pretty good. 3 out of 4 from the field. Went to the line a whole lot. Got to the middle. You know what that means?

Dave the limo driver: What’s that Eddie?
Eddie Curry: I was feelin’ it. You feelin’ it Davie?

Eddie Curry: You are.

Eddie Curry: To the airport Davie. I gots to go to Chicago and meet with Donnie Walsh the general manager at the gm meetings.
Dave the limo driver: Why do you got to meet with him Eddie?
Eddie Curry: I want to convince him to let me stay with the team. He is gonna try to sign Lebron James and I want to stick around.
Dave the limo driver: But I thought Lebron is on Cleveland?
Eddie Curry: He is but the Cavs just lost and Cleveland has gots to be looking pretty shitty rights about now. I mean who in their right mind wants to move to Ohio anyways?
Dave the limo driver: I hear Ohio is cool. They have lots of flowers and pretty dogs and funny looking white people you can stare at and make fun of and stuff. I mean it ain’t New York but it is kind of cool.
Eddie Curry: Well when Lebron is a free agent next year they want to convince him to come to New York. That’s where I can help.
Dave the limo driver: How’s that Eddie?
Eddie Curry: Well look at all the monies they be paying me and I ain’t done shit the last two years except get fatter and more depressed and make Isiah wants to kill hisself. Think how much they be paying Lebron cause he actually play. But one thing Davey?
Dave the limo driver: Yeah Eddie.
Eddie Curry: I ain’t like the Knicks no way no how. You gots to earn your money with Eddie Curry. Touch it Davie. Touch it like you wants to earn your paycheck bitch.

Man this sucks.

Glen Gondrezick, UNLV basketball legend, dead at 53
‘Gondo’ apparently died of complications from a heart transplant
By
Ron Kantowski Mon, Apr 27, 2009

Glen Gondrezick, the UNLV basketball Hall of Famer who received a heart transplant in September, died today at St. Rose Dominican Hospital in Henderson, apparently as a result of complications due to the surgery.

He was 53.

I remember vividly when he Knicks drafted Gondo and how he was an energetic forward/guard for two seasons. The Knicks used to practice at my college Pace University downtown and I ran into him a few times. He was a hell of a nice guy.

You really start to get scared when guys your age start to drop like flies.

So long Marvin, Godspeed.

The great defensive center for the Knicks Marvin Webster passed away this week. He was only in his fifties which makes me want to shit myself. He was called the Human Eraser because of his shot blocking ability and was a mainstay of the second unit of several decent Knick teams in the early '80's. He was traded to the Knicks for Lonnie Shelton and was a defensive force who went to the second unit when Billy Cartwright joined the team. That second unit under Hubie Brown was a defensive force with Webster and Louie Orr and Ken the Animal Bannister and Darrell Walker. Hubie would play them as a separate unit to freeze the game and hold down the score in the second and third quarters.

Marvin is the perfect example of an ex athlete who was very famous for a while in the biggest city of the country and then dropped off the map. There are tons of guys like that. They think it is going to last forever but it is very fleeting. They used to tell a story about Jerry Grote who was a pretty good catcher for the Mets. When he was a good player he blew off the fans and the press and was a nasty son of a bitch. But his last season when he was just hanging on he started trying to be friendly with the writers and the fans along the lines signing autographs and such. One of the sportswriters said "Grote started saying hello when it was time to say goodbye." I have always remembered that and try to always get to know everyone where ever I go. Not that I am a star or anything, but I try to acknowledge the clerks and the service people so I end up knowing everyone in the joint if I go there two or three times. When I walk into a store with someone and every says hello or has a joke or a comment, the person with me always asks how the hell do I know everybody in Brooklyn. I don't but I know enough to say hello before it is time to say goodbye.

But goodbye Marvin. Rest in Peace.

Eddie Curry: You are.
Dave the limo driver: Yes'm. So where am I driving you?
Eddie Curry: To the airport Davie. They shot my baby’s momma
Dave the limo driver: Oh my God, that’s terrible. Do they know who did it?
Eddie Curry: They think it was one of the other baby daddy’s. They don’t know if it is number two baby daddy or number six.
Dave the limo driver: Don’t they have names?
Eddie Curry: I guess they do. But my baby momma wasn’t too good with names. I told her to get Trojans and she got Projans at the 99 cents store and the condom broke. That’s why she is my baby’s momma. And now they killed her Davie. Right in front of my son.
Dave the limo driver: That’s terrible Eddie. You have had a really tough year.
Eddie Curry: I am glad to hear you say that. Davie?
Dave the limo driver: Yeah Eddie.
Eddie Curry: Touch it Davie. Touch it for my baby’s momma cause she ain’t here to do it.

Eddie Curry: No, really, you are... [Takes Davie's hand]
Eddie Curry: You are.
Dave the limo driver: Yes'm. So am I driving you down to the Garden for the Martin Luther King day game?
Eddie Curry: Yes Davie, do you know anything about Dr. King?
Dave the limo driver: Sure, he fought against racism and stuff like that and some guy shot him in a motel or something.
Eddie Curry: Yes but did you know that the FBI persecuted him and taped him?
Dave the limo driver: No I didn’t know that.
Eddie Curry: Yeah it’s true. They had tapes of him with other women and they even said he liked to go on the down low with some of his assistants.
Dave the limo driver: It could be a lot worse, that really doesn’t take away from what he accomplished in his life. It doesn’t make him a bad person.
Eddie Curry: I am glad to hear you say that. Davie?
Dave the limo driver: Yeah Eddie.
Eddie Curry: Touch it Davie. Touch it for Dr King.

Eddie Curry: No Davie, what do you think all black people know each other. I mean I do know Obama. He used to play in pickup games with the Bulls when I played in Chicago.
Dave the limo driver: Was he any good?
Eddie Curry: Not really. What he really liked to do is get the ball down low in the paint and back his way into me, grinding and grinding and smiling and grunting ….and well I hope there ain’t no film of that.
Dave the limo driver: It could be a lot worse, you could have played with Michelle. I hear she is bitch under the boards.

Spicy, Spicy Curry!

New York Post (January 13, 2009)

By MELISSA JANE KRONFELD, BRUCE GOLDING & MARC BERMAN

Knick center Eddy Curry was slapped with a shocking sexual-harassment suit yesterday by his former driver, who claims the 6-foot-11 hoopster tried to solicit gay sex from him.

Stunning court papers charge that Curry, a married father of several kids, repeatedly approached chauffeur David Kuchinsky "in the nude," saying, "Look at me, Dave, look" and, "Come and touch it, Dave."

Curry, 26, also made Kuchinsky perform "humiliating tasks outside the scope of his employment, such as cleaning up and removing dirty towels [into which Curry had ejaculated] so that his wife would not see them," the Manhattan federal court suit says.

Kuchinsky, 36, who is straight and Jewish, also alleges racism, saying Curry hurled slurs at him, including "f- - - ing Jew," "cracker," "white slave," "white devil" and "grandmaster of the KKK."

Curry, a former Chicago Bull, said last night he was "shocked" at the allegations. "It's false, and everyone who knows me knows I'm not a racist," he said after the Knicks beat the Hornets in New Orleans. "I've never made a comment like that, playing, or nothing. . . . That's incredible, man."

The sexual allegations recall a 2006 lawsuit by Knicks marketing VP Anucha Browne Sanders, who claimed then-General Manager Isiah Thomas made advances on her. She settled for $11.5 million after winning at trial.

And in an episode reminiscent of some elements of the manslaughter case against former New Jersey Net star Jayson Williams - who fatally shot a limo driver - Kuchinsky's suit also claims Curry pointed a "fully loaded" gun at him on at least two occasions.
"Look, I have one in the chamber," Curry allegedly said.

Kuchinsky, who worked for Curry from October 2005 through October 2008, says he was hired as a 24/7 chauffeur for the hoop star and his family, and lived in the basement of their Chicago mansion.

But shortly after starting work, he "progressively became Curry's 'house-boy,' " his suit says.
He wants $98,000 plus compensatory damages from the Knick, whose contract pays him $9.4 million this year. Damage claims typically can go up to $5 million in state court, Kuchinsky's lawyer said.

Kuchinsky says he is owed $68,000 in unpaid wages, as well as $25,000 in expenses for which Curry never repaid him. Those expenses, he said, included cellphones that Curry had him buy as gifts and hotel and club bills. "Instead of paying him, they discriminated against him," said Kuchinsky's lawyer, Matthew Blit. "Imagine going into your boss' office . . . and he stands up and drops his pants and he asks you [to] take care of him."

Curry, who has played just 2 minutes, 38 seconds this season because of knee injuries, said last night that Kuchinsky had contacted a friend of his, "and every time, it was something different."
"First time, it was to curse me out," Curry said. "Second time, it was to apologize. Third time, it was 'If Eddy doesn't call me, I'm going to sue him.' I just never, ever thought it would go past what it did, which was just idle threats, money-or-else kind of stuff."

Curry's lawyer, Kelly Saindon, said Kuchinsky began making a series of claims for unpaid wages several months ago, upping the ante each time. Saindon said Curry took a chance on hiring Kuchinsky despite the driver's criminal record, which includes a three-year prison sentence for a 1992 burglary in New Jersey. He also got three years' probation in a 2004 resisting-arrest case in the Garden State, records show.

"It's shocking that Eddy opened his home to a convicted felon out of prison, and gave him a job when he couldn't find a job, and this is what comes out of it," Saindon said.
Kuchinsky's lawyer conceded his client's "troubled past," but said that was all behind him.

Titus I expect you to investigate and report back to us. Does adding Curry to a sausage make it extra spicy or what.

Put Stephon Marbury in suspended animation

For all the times that Stephon Marbury has jerked around his teams and his teammates he is no getting it back in spades. He is off the team and they are pursuing a buy out. The Knicks are extremely depleted because Cuttino Mobley has a heart condition and the Knicks doctors won't sign off on it like the Clippers guys did. With variou injuries the Knicks are down to about eight guys to play at any one time. So when the wop told Marbury he could play and get minutes for the rest of the season he refused. He says he didn't but he must of because if he didn't he would have gotten a chance the last few games. So he basically quit on the team which is not the first time he has done something like that.

I have to respect GM Donnie Walsh for sticking to his guns and holding out to get him to take some money off his deal. Marbury doesn't have a clue. He has forfeited any modicum of sympathy any New York fan could ever have for him. And trashed his image in the league even more than before if that is possible. He is truly a bad guy. Not a confused fool like Plaxico Burresss. He is the real deal. A punk ass bitch through and through.

JFK anniversary.

This is an important anniversary in the life of JFK.

Twenty years ago today, was the first day that Joe Fucking Kleine got into a game as player for the Boston Celtics.

I hate the Celtics.

The Knicks must be living their Life on Mars.

The funny thing about the show Life on Mars is that Sam Tyler is supposed to go back in time to 1973. In it he is a big Knicks fan and he meets his dad and they were shooting hoops in the back yard with him and his dad being the same age. The smile on his face was something to see. But the funny thing is that 1973 was the last time the Knicks won a championship. Let me repeat that.

1973 WAS THE LAST TIME THE KNICKS WON A CHAMPIONSHIP!!!!!!!

Now I have suffered through Hubie Brown, Al Bianchi, Rick Pitino, Bob Hill, John MacLeod Scotty Sterling, Dave Checketts, Ernie Grunfield, Pat Riley,Donn Nelson, Scott Layden, Jeff Van Gundy, Isiah Thomas, Don Chaney, Lennie Wilkens, and on and on and on.

Now the new wop coach drafted his old roommates son who has a bad back and can't fucking play. This douche bag is 20 years old and he has a bad back like your fucking grandfather. And they decided to trade their two best player for crap. Al Harrington and Cuttino Molbey. Why didn't they just trade for motherfucking Moms Mobley. I know that they want to get under the salary cap in two years for Lebron James but there is no guarantee that he will come to New York. Lots of players can't handle New York and I think he is one of them. It is going to be a long long season.

The Knicks start their season today.

The New York Knickerbockers basketball team start their season today. I had season tickets for about 16 years. It is a long time since I had them but I sort of miss going to the games. Of course I am old and decrepit now. In fact I have such a stiff neck today, I can barely turn my head. So I don't think I would be up to going to the game and screaming like a maniac the way I used to do. So I will try and catch the game on the tube. The new wop coach is a run and gun kinda guy from the Suns so we might score a lot. I just hope he doesn't end up on the floor of his house like Isaiah Thomas. Eddie Curry and Stephon Marbury have that effect on a lot of people.
