Eli might not be coming.......back
Eli Manning's contract is up and he is not rushing to sign an extension. The Giants are not stressing and not rushing either. They can slap the franchise tag on him and resign him so it is not a big deal.
The attempts by the New York Post to gin up a controversy will not work here.
You see the Giants and the Yankees work pretty much the same way. They can pretty much sign anybody they want. But they don't always want to resign people so they let them walk. Even if they were decent players who still have a little left. What those players need to do is understand that they are not bigger than the team. It really means something to be a life long Giant or Yankees. The Giant players get great off the field opportunities. Frank Gifford, Kyle Rote and Pat Summeral became big time broadcasters. In a later generation Phil Simms, Tiki Barber, Michael Strahan, Harry Carson and Carl Banks are all doing very well. Brad Benson has become one of the biggest car dealers on the East Coast with commercials every other minute on WFAN. Strahan even got a talk show with Kelly Ripa.
Eli is like Jeter. The same thing happened with Jeter's last contract. The press was in a tizzy but both sides knew they were going to make a deal.
Eli just needs to do it one more time. He is already a Hall of Famer but a third ring will really shut up the idiots who prefer losers like Aaron Rodgers. I think it will happen in his last year. Wait and see!

Hey Phil Simms......Just shut the fuck up.....you are a disgrace to the Giants you putz!
So Phil Simms had let it be know that he will kowtow to the politically correct douchenozzles who want the Washington Redskins to change their name. He has let it be know that he will only refer to them as "Washington" even though they have retained their historic and traditional name. What a politically correct pansy!
He says he is not taking sides but by doing this he is taking sides. He is taking the side of the politically correct who run grievance racket where they get to determine what you can say, do or think in this country. He is a disgrace to the Giants and I have lost all respect for him. Even that epic loser former Jet Boomer Eisason is using the Redskins because that is their fucking name.
Eli Manning has just solidified his place as the greatest Giant quarterback of all time!

RIP Dave Jennings
One of my all time favorite NY Giants has passed away after a lingering illness.
Punter Dave Jennings was a "True Giant." Even though at the end of his career he spent some time with the dog ass Jets.
Most people don't pay much attention to punters. You only notice them when they don't do their job. So for him to have such a high profile is unusual. He did it by being a fair and articulate interview while he was a player and it carried over when he became an analyst for radio and TV. He would criticize the Giants when they deserved it but was not afraid to praise them when they did it right. He was just as good on the Jets telecasts as he was on the Giants.
He will be missed.
Rest in peace Dave.

Alex Webster RIP
When I was a kid my old man would take me
to Fairfield University to watch the Giants training camp. They had many stars
but my favorite was Alex Webster. He was great w/ kids, would sign autographs
even when tired @ the end of two a day workouts. Webster wasn't as fast or as
good as many running backs[he was white after all!] but he played hard on every
down. He died yesterday in Florida @ age 80.
I met Alex Webster at a lunchen when he was the Giants coach after Allie Sherman was fired. HE was kind enough to hang around and talk to a bunch of us fans who attended the CYO rubber chicken dinner. He talked about the team and about his admiration for the Mara's who owned the team. Some of the older guys were downright angry at the time because that was the begining of the long decline of the Giants. The next season Alex won Coach of the year but he got fired a few years later when they started flying planes with banners over the stadium.
I also ran into him one night with Andy Robestelli in PJ Clarkes which was a big Giants hang out back in the day. I offered to buy them a drink but they were only drinking seltzer water. I didn't intrude on their conversation but just thanked them for the classy way that they represented my team.
He was a good man.
Thanks Nick.

The night before the Super Bowl.

It's the night before the Super Bowl and we are resting all day. We are spent. It was the first week of filming and we were worked into the ground. The wife had to be in almost every shot and every minute of the shot. Plus we both got nasty colds. They keep you working. We lost a day off and had to film six days straight for about ten hours a day. Now I know it sounds like it would be fun. But it is tough believe it or not. They want you to be up and bositerious and loud and funny and it is not so easy.
Now they just emailed and wanted us to work on the Sunday of the Super Bowl. Which we are not going to do. We are having a few people over to watch the game and we need to rest before hand.
I am pretty confident that the Giants are going to come through for us. I actually got in a pool at a bar with a $10,000 winner. So who knows. We might be partying big time.
Enjoy the game.
GO BIG BLUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Best play of the game!

Was after the game in the lockerroom where Wellington Mara's widow tried to punch Terry Bradshaw in the balls because he hates the Giants.
She would not be deined.
GO BIG BLUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You have to be humble......Great game by the 49er's

What a great game. The 49er's didn't deserve to go out on a fumble like that. They have a great, great defense and matched the Giants series by series. Much better than the vastly overrated Packers who the Giants really dominated. These teams were evenly matched and the differance was Eli Manning. Hit time and again he stayed in the pocket and took the sack or dumped it off to a running back. Time and again he brought us back. The Niners fought us tooth and nail. We were fortunate that a few breaks went our way. It was a nail biter.
So now it is a rematch with the Patriots. New York vs Boston. Replay of the last Super Bowl both teams were in where we won when nobody thought we could. I know we will be big underdogs again.
I can only say one thing.
BOSTON SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Vegas is very worried

The Sports books in Vegas are shitting yellow because there are so many Giant's future bets out there. The Giants were 100-1 to win the Super Bowl but that doesn't matter to Giant Fans. Many of them who were out there during the summer put $100 on the Giants to win it all.
Right now the Giants are 3-1 favorites to win it all.
So if the Giants win it all....it won't be just the Packers fans that will want to kill themselves.

See Ya!

Well it is time to move on. The Packers are back doing whatever there is to do out in Wisconsin. Protesting. Banging drums. Chanting. Making a mess in the state capital. Counting signatures. Eating cheese. Whatever.
On to smack around the ladies of San Fran.
It is just like the old days when the Giants and 49er's duked it out for the NFC title.
Except we have Eli.
And Joe Montana is retired.

I hate to keep insulting our commentors....but
Some of my best and most loyal commenter's are big time Packer fans. It is obvious that their taste for low comedy has led them both to this site and to rooting for this clown team. Be that as it may I am sure you guys will enjoy the game as the Giants will inevitably triumph.
Garage and Original Mike sent me this photo of them getting ready for the big game. Good luck guys!

Sometimes one play can make all the differance!

That pick and touchdown by that hippie fuck Matthews was the real reason the Giants blew the game. We were dominating and that took the airs out of our sails. That one play had a lot of lingering effects and was the turning point in my view. Even though we came back and tied the game and had a chance to win in the final moments it was not enough.
Good game. The Packers are very beatable. I know the Giants can beat them. I hope we see them in the playoffs (if we squeak in) and we end their undefeated season like we did with the Patriots. I think that is what will happen.
It happened before and it can happen again.

If you were gonna buy Garage Mahal a Christmas Present

Get him the new book by Ernie Palladiano called "Lombardi and Landry: How Two of Pro Football's Greatest Coaches Launched Their Legends and Changed the Game Forever."
It is about the most important part of their careers......when they were assistant coaches for the New York Football Giants!
It all went downhill from there!

Commenter Memories Number 100: ND Spinelli reads the sports page
He is trying to tell me that the Packers are better than the Giants as a franchise. Let's face it....Green Bay wouldn't even have a team if it wasn't for the Giants. That moron Wellington Mara agreed to a commie plan of spreading the TV wealth and the Packers got to keep their team instead of moving to Jacksonville or Charlotte or something! Plus they sent Vince Lombardi to coach them as a favor to the league. I think Pete Rozelle must of had pictures of Wellington doing Laverne when she was working with Oscar Madison and she was giving him a rusty trombone or something. Otherwise I can't explain it.
There would have never been a Green Bay Packers without the largess of the New York Giants.
Steinbrenner never would have done it. He would have driven them into the ground.

Hi my name is Lawrence

Hi my name is Lawrence and this is the first time I ever posted on Eharmony. I really want to meet someone who I can connect with on so many different levels.
I love football, the sounds that Joe Theismans knee makes as it's breaking, crack and sex in cheap hotel rooms in upsate New York.
I hope you do the same. And that you are about fifthteen.
If you are interested, text me at LT6969 and I will get back to you.
