One year ago today

One year ago today I was in the hospital. I had been diagnosed with congestive heart failure and they were medicating me before deciding on putting in a pacemaker.

I want to thank everyone who was so wonderful to Lisa and me while I was sick. You concern and all of the things you did were really, really appreciated. I know I have said it before but from the bottom of my heart I say thank you!

I can say it from the bottom of my heart because it is not full of water. On my last check up the doctor said my numbers are very good and additional surgery is not indicated.

Most of all I thank God for his infinite mercy.

I want to thank all you guys for your thoughtful gifts. I just got the Jack LaLanne book which is all about living a healthy life.

I vividly remember Jack Lalanne on the Tonight Show and Mike Douglas. He was crazy good in shape and there are a lot worse people to take on as a role model.

We loved the fruit and shared it with the nurses and they loved it.

You guys are just too kind. Lisa and I want to send your our everlasting thanks.

I am going to cry now.

I haven't cried since last night when the Giants lost again.

While you were sleeping.......

A lot of stuff happened.

I was enjoying a week out at Seatuck Cove House and so much was happening in the real world.

My Yankees got swept by a superior Detroit Tigers team. Kudo's to Cousin Ron and Darcy and all of you Tiger's fans out there. The drunken drowned ghost of Norm Cash is surely partying up in Heaven for all it's worth. Well done. Stay thirsty my friends.

It seems like the Jug Eared Jesus has imploded. "Not optimal." When I heard that on the radio I couldn't believe it. The polls seem to indicate a blowout of the Mitt Man but I don't want to jinx it or get over conifident.

Titus is up to his old tricks. I just want to thank him for turning his tricks here instead of TOP as he is consistently entertaining no matter how deep we get in the doo doo.

I especially thank youse guys for stopping by while I am lazing around and relaxing. I really appreciate you keeping the conversation going while I am off enjoying myself. Well Done dudes and dudettes.

It is a real tour de force! Which unlike the Tour de France and Lance Armstrong he still has both his balls. At least I think he does.

This is a shot of the new graffiti I was dealing with last week. I finally got through to the guy in the 76 who deals with "quality of life" stuff. He was on vacation but as soon as he came back he came to the store. City wide vandalism squad also came by and loved the tape I had which had a full on shot of the punks face. So if they catch him because of this tag we can prosecute based on the tape. I just have to be patient. New York City now has a program where they paint over the graffiti for you if you request it and they did a very good job this time. The trick is to get it done right away so you don't encourage other assholes to tag the same spot. The last time the paint job kinda sucked but they did a much better job this time. I will still have to repaint it to make it match exactly but at least it is presentable especially since there is a street fair tomorrow and I want the store to look good.
