De Balsio's wife has a chief of staff who is banging a murderer. Nothing to see here.

New York DAILY NEWS, October 7, 2014
For Mayor de Blasio, a public official’s family and loved ones are entitled to privacy — unless they are needed for campaigning.
The mayor, who prominently featured his family in campaign ads while running for office last year, criticized the press Monday for “going too far” in reporting on the private life of a top City Hall aide. Rachel Noerdlinger, chief of staff to New York’s First Lady Chirlane McCray, has been under fire following a report last month that she is dating an ex-con who did time for manslaughter and has publicly referred to police officers as “pigs.”
Speaking at a news conference in Staten Island, de Blasio called Noerdlinger a “good public servant” and argued it’s time for the media to stop harping on her private life. “With all due respect to all of you and the job you have to do, this notion of let’s talk about people’s boyfriends, let’s talk about their children, it’s just going too far,” he told reporters. "Who do you expect her to date. A white guy. What are you racists. If she is going to date an African American of course he is going to have a record you racists."
Asked about the recent revelation that Noerdlinger failed to mention her boyfriend during a Department of Investigation background check, the mayor said she never intended to lie. “There was no effort to deceive,” he said. “I have absolute faith in her ability to serve the people of this city. I also await the awarding of reperations that I am entitled to due to my marriage to Weezy .....err..... Chirlaine. Case closed.”
