This happened last week - Woman in Crown Heights

This happened last week. All of these little hipster girls have moved to nasty neighborhoods like Crown Heights and Bed Stuy and Bushwick. When the cops were able to roust the criminals it was marginally safe. But now the youtes are getting bold because the cops are laying back. They don't want to get jammed up so they are even lazier than usual.

Thus the result.

It is De Blasio time.

I thought I saw Ray Rice there for a second.

Bitch had it comin'!

This must be fraudulent and the actors paid for by the Kochs.

Deborah is a bitch. Some of you folks have said that. I always gave her a pass until today when she stuck up for Meade and Inga. I know, I know, ignore LSL. Well, I do 98% of the time. I slipped. Please don't lecture me. I'm tough on myself.

rcocean said...

Trooper - you're smart to stay out of that mess at Lems. Why the hell are letting Meade play his games over there? I don't know Aridog, but Judas Priest the guy talks about his cancer and alcohol problem and everyone turns it into the Meade and troll enabler show.

I gotta stop paying attention to this crap. Like you.

TrooperYork said...

I am contacting Aridog privately.

Nothing good comes of interacting with Meade and Inga.

KCFleming said...

Nick, Deb's response was very odd.
I understood you immediately.
Some women seem to draw the weirdest conclusions.

Sounds just like what I expected of Meade anyway, BTW,

KCFleming said...

Meade is one sick fuck.

ndspinelli said...

Pogo, She is odd. I gave her a lotta slack over the years. She's dead to me now. Lem needs to grow a pair.

Trooper, I've been staying in touch w/ Ari. He's gonna be OK. He is honest and positive.

I see Ebola has hit the Big Apple. Mayor D is on it!

chickelit said...

Meade's comments and people's reactions to him shows that people are on the same page.

chickelit said...

Troop: Just remember, you cannot catch ebola through the air (unless somebody sneezes on you).

Trooper York said...

I recommend the same precautions with Meade.

You can't get infected if you stay away from him. Just sayn'

Trooper York said...

It is typical of Meade that he would take a heartfelt communication and use it as a wedge to attack someone. He has done it before. He will always attack someone when they are hurting and vulnerable.

He has done that before. He will do it again.

I have to agree with Michael Haz that it is strange to see people voluntarily associate with him and his meal ticket. At one time you could reasonable say that they were not that bad.

But time and again they have proved that they are that bad.

Everyone should do what they want. But if you frequent their place of business you sort of place your imprimatur on their actions. At certain point enough should be enough.

Trooper York said...

That was always my mistake. That if I spoke out they would change how they operated. That if they just understood what was happening they would act in a different manner.

But a scorpion is a scorpion.

It is that simple.

Watch out for the Ebola Troops. I heard tonight it made it over the Williamsburg.

Stay away from bowling alleys and Uber cabs.

Trooper York said...

Kemal I just want to say good luck with sobriety. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help.

One thing I might suggest. Pick up a couple of the "Matthew Scudder" novels by Lawrence Block. Specifically "When the Sacred Ginmill Closes." It talks a lot about Aa and the drinking life without being preachy. I think you will like.

Seriously. Anything can do.

rcocean said...

Meade is Meade. Which is why his comments should have been deleted. Deb seemed to indicate no deletion because of the hits.

I hope that's wrong.

rcocean said...

Anyway, I'm caring too much. I'm just a borderline lurker.

Night everyone and God bless.

Trooper York said...

Lem. Why did I call you Kemal. That was auto correct.

Wait a minute.

Are you really an Arab terrorist?

chickelit said...

"Lem" shouldn't auto correct to "Kemal" unless you already have the name of that Arab terrorist on your device.

We saw this w/Palladian

He had an ASSHOLE of an old man and a manipulative mother. That is clear in his behavior. He was almost certainly physically abused by his old man, thusly preying on the vulnerable, and manipulatively comforted by his mommy. Combine that w/ being childless and it's an easy read. Like this comforting blog.

I predicted here, a few days ago, LSL would show up @ Lem's. TOP comments are in the toilet.

Evi L. Bloggerlady said...

Welcome to Brooklyn, bitch!

What, you don't like it? What are you racist too?

Kick her a few times for Michael Brown.

Michael Haz said...

LSL has one child (that I know of) who is an adult daughter living in Ohio, I believe. She is never mentioned on AA blog, and I believe that father and daughter may be estranged due to his divorcing her mother.

Trooper York said...

I believe that to be true. It was because of his pursuit of the Evil Blogger Lady. That was when it was in its early stalker phase.

It is no reveaiation as he mentioned here at the time.

Dust Bunny Queen said...

Well, I am of two minds on the Meade incident.

First is that if there are people reading who don't know the backstory and see Meade making reasonable comments and never see the despicable Meade comments because they have been deleted.....they will come to the conclusion that he is an OK guy and why are we all being so harsh. As I said. Evil is destroyed by being exposed and festers if covered up.

On the other hand. If we actually respond TO the shitstain and let the discussion become all about him (which is what he wants) then we are feeding the evil. Allowing his destructive behavior just allows it to become worse.

So....I'm torn. Leave it or delete it.

Ari doesn't need to be involved in this mess at this time. He has a hard hard road in front of him and needs to be positive and have positive people surrounding him.

I saw Deborah's comments and agree.....dead to me. She is an enabler.

Somebody should start an Althousians Anonymous program to help people kick the habit.

Also, either a blog has a clear "civility" policy or it doesn't. I see no way that Lawnboy's inhumane comments could meet any but the most insincere civility policy.

Meade delenda est.

Trooper York said...

Lawnboy won't give it up. He is still on that thread poking away.

I would advise that you don't respond but everybody's gotta do what everybody's gotta do.

Michael Haz said...

Lem turned off comments on the Aridog thread. That was the right thing to do; thank you Lem.

Meanwhile over at the Nacho Response, Quack has called out AA by name on several posts, and there is no response form Merde defending his wife. But he has time to fuck around at Lem's. Interesting set of priorities, innit?

Evi L. Bloggerlady said...

I know it is difficult, but the best way to deal with Meade is ignore him. He hates that most of all.

He has managed to alienate most of the blogs and papers in Madison. He is a miserable failure who (other than managing to snag a lonely bitter sugar professor who pays his bills) wants to make everyone else miserable too.

More than an enabler, her behavior also appears to involve deliberate provocation which includes conscious intent and manipulation. I grew up with the King James rendition of "Charm is deceitful and beauty is vain..." being the theme of our denomination's version of a girl's club, and on a certain level, I believe it to be true.

This statement on the Aridog thread at Lem's reflects the type of "spin" I find deceptive, as something untrue is positively stated as if it were reasonable and right:

...we are a rump Althouse site. Probably always will be. She lives rent free in the minds of too many of the commenters here. Some who have complained about contributors linking to her eventually bring her up on their own.

-Unless she's polled all who contribute, there is no collective "we" for whom she speaks.

-Lem's Levity is not a rump Althouse site. It's an independent blog. One that runs on its own without being attached to the Althouse body. It doesn't require Althouse input or connection to function.

-There's no probably or always about it.

-Althouse does not live rent free in anyone's head. Every person who has met Althouse in person, heard of her, read her blog, or participated in her comment section has collected sensory impressions, thoughts and memories which stay in with them for life and inform their future behavior. This is how humans live and survive. Seeing the man who at one time made a point of washing graffiti off a memorial statue, move on to twice make a deliberate effort to tarnish the character of honorable men, is behavior that requires evaluation and processing. Doing so is not the same as letting someone "live rent free".

-Voicing an opinion about people who comment at Althouse is not "complaining about them". All are free to bring up whateve thoughts they have about them or her.

I've been involved and away from the computer this week and did not have opportunity to put my thoughts together on the Airdog thread.

Thank you Lem, for the posting Ari's news and expressing your heart felt conclusion last night.

Over and over, Aridog has openly and honestly revealed himself to be a man of character and integrity. Meade, not so much.

My thoughts and prayers are with you, Aridog, and Lem also, as you both take on the work of attending to your personal health situations and life journey.

Whatever you've been through, whatever you've done, whatever has been done to you, and whatever you face, your heart (and soul) shines through as present and real. I believe we are here to give and receive light. May this continue to be so for you.

I have been busy as well and will post about what I have been doing.

I just catch up now because I am at home while the plumber is fixing my heating as two radiators are broken and my entire floor had to be dug up to fix it. It is a big fucking mess.

Trooper York said...

I am glad that Lem shut down the comments. It is below the fold and Meade will continue to comment there when people are not paying attention.

I have been dropping some comments at Nick's favorite place and our old friend Inga is taking some shots. But I am not engaging at all.

I think that is the way to handle Meade, Inga, Crack and Titus. I gave all of them a chance here and they displayed their true colors. So there is no longer any need to engage. It is as simple as that.

TTBurnett said...

What needed to have happened was a prompt deletion of Meade's remarks. Once people began to respond—even indirectly, as I did initially—the game was up. Meade won, managing to shit all over a moving and honest personal testament. I really don't know how he sleeps at night.

I agree that there is either a decency filter or there isn't. We have all seen so much of the internet without one, that, at least in my case, I have to question looking at any remnant of "free speech" on the damn thing at all.

So, if I'm going to bother with Lem's, I vote, along with Haz, for Meade's complete banishment.

Trooper York said...

I agree with you Tim. It is just amazing that Lawnboy decided to shit on Aridog but also on Lem as well.

I know why he did it. Aridog was vehement in the last dust up and called Meade out in no uncertain terms. So he was happy to wade in with some cheap shots as soon as he had the opportunity.

It was the same thing that happened in the first Bloody Sunday. They deleted and attacked Roger J another vet who was questioning Inga's blather about her famous army daughter. They have a thing about attacking vets. It is something very strange about them. They delight in attacking vets and Catholics.

Trooper York said...

I really thought Deb was out of line in broadcasting details of how Lem operates his blog. It is nobodies business but the people involved.

Why give Lawnboy another target of opportunity.

MamaM said...

...was out of line in broadcasting details of how Lem operates his blog.

Gosh-a-roo! Do you think that info just slipped out by mistake? She's about as clever as Titus dropping a loaf.

I thought Lem did ok leaving Meade's comments as they were. They provided readers with another opportunity to see the red bird in action, further erasing any doubt that he operates with integrity. Meade shamed himself. No other harm was done, and many rose to the occasion to speak clearly about what matters most. Lem's finale was direct, as if he'd found his true voice, and I thought his decision to close the thread when and where he did was a good one.

Honestly TT would you have written as you did, if Lem had deleted the comment before you arrived? When you're on a roll, the good stuff rises to the surface and provides something extends beyond and overpowers whatever reeking smallness was dropped and left in the post. Your response was more heartening than Meade's words were dispiriting. Pogo too, made me laugh in addition to a BIG YES! Especially so with the And you're a good enough guy that even the devil had to show up and try and take a piss. Not everyone gets old cloven hoof to show up to kick him when he's down. You must have been a real tough sumbitch in your lifetime, man.

The whole post was another "fullness of time" experience. And I enjoyed hearing people come forward with their acceptance, encouragement and support.

Good stuff. What needed to happen did, all around. Aridog's difficult situation was made clear, genuine support was offered, Meade revealed his lack of integrity one more time, and Lem stood up for what was right with strength, confidence and heart.

TTBurnett said...

Thank you, Mama. I appreciate that.

I suppose, though, at this point, I'd rather have a quiet life on the internet, browsing amusements, and not having to whack snakes.

I have high blood pressure which I'm monitoring closely because of a recent scare. Meade's reptilian behavior raised both diastolic and systolic readings by 10 mm. I'm aiming for 120/70, not moral finesse, although, as you say, we all did what we had to.

Trooper York said...

That's funny Tim. I have the exact opposite problem. Low blood pressure.

Maybe that is why I am always starting stuff. I want to get the old ticker going.
