Speaking of Nellie, I just had a classic TOP experience. HRH put up a post with a minor typo ("they're" instead of "their"), which I mocked ever-so-gently by commenting "their there now."
I think a normal person just makes some little reply in the comments, or strikes through the original and corrects it. But HRH just made the correction and then sent my comment down the memory hole.
No biggie, obviously, but it got me wondering if there was some pivotal moment in her life when she became compelled to deny even the most ordinary mistake. I'm guessing it was an 8th grade spelling bee in which she got tripped up by a homophone. And Daddy just couldn't hide his disappointment.
Then she married one and had two more.
