I don't even know where to start.

I'm in an unfamiliar town, in an unfamiliar hotel, drinking an unfamiliar beer, typing into an unfamiliar laptop that uses an unfamiliar operating system and I log in after 48 hours and everything looks unfamiliar.

WTF happaned to familiar?

Ain't we family?

All I ask is to come here and feel like things are normal. Is that too much to ask?

@MamaM: I saw your post about Boston aand I haven't forgotten about you.

Is that the way to negotiate, "Take your f***ing sorrys and stick'em?" As a confirmed coward I would take it. But Tony, descendant of Romans? Nuh huh.

Thanks Chickenlittle, it's good to be able to find a blog that still looks somewhat FAMILIAR. Something without yards of topics or yards of comment.

In other words, a place with a seat at the bar. This is starting to feel more like the cafeteria in Sam's Club, with the big screens rolling on one side and people with carts full of goods rolling by after checking out with those who hate their jobs.

One can be sitting in a familiar chair with a familiar beverage and a familiar laptop and still find the current set up disconcerting.

At midnight the boat was gently rocking with a nice breeze, salty talk and book reviews on the Hurricane Deck. A flurry of afternoon activity followed with Elvis, coffee on the Lido and dreams of white sandy beaches. The foul wind blew up at sunset, rattling lines, tossing tail feathers, snapping questions, ripping sails, banging port holes, creating a snafu in communications between Generals Havoc and Dysreguard.

Sail on.

Johnny Sac is the best smoker ever on the little or big screen..even better than Bogart. There was a great scene in a hospital waiting room where he lights up a heater and cavalierly asks, "I wonder if you can smoke in here?"

You are pissed at me Trooper? What did I do (other than make fun of your team)?

Fred4Pres said...

If I did something let me know.

I hate A-Rod almost as much as you do.

It has nothing to do with you Fred.

You are an innocent bystander. Sort of like Fredo.

Hey Fredo4Pres has a nice ring to it.

I'm in awe of those who think they understand what's going on here.

Fred4Pres said...

Fredo? WTF? At least give me the Tom Hagen nod. I would rather be Tessio than Fredo.

Here is the Fredo song for you.

Maybe TY was thinking Pedro.

I am not sure what Titus really looks like, but even money that he is a close Napoleon Dynamite.

It's a clue!

I'll round up the gang and we'll meet at the old mill where Troop will reveal the identity of Fredo's Ghost!

Trooper York said...

Just busting on you Fred.

You are my brother.

Wait that didn't turn out well.

Trooper York said...

John I thought geologist guys could read rocks.

Just think of the rocks in my head and you will have it!

Fred4Pres said...

That okay Trooper.

Of course that Phil Leotardo thing with Tony Soprano did not turn out so well for Phil.

Fred don't worry. I love you man. Keep posting here and leave the evil blogger lady like Clemanza said.

Grab the cannoli dude. Just sayn'

I happened to meet Frank Vincent (Phil Leotardo) when they did the cast party for his movie "A Tale of Two Pizzas" at Kevin St James (the bar my wife used to manage).

He was not a happy camper that night but you can excuse it because it was a mob scene and not in mafia way. Just that were way too many people who were freeloading on the premiere party.

He had a little spot with his family and we got him in and out quickly.

But I did smile when the car rolled over his head. Just sayn'

I don't look like Napoleon Dynamite.

That is degrading.

I get grade A hog.

Fred4Pres said...

Come on Titus, you have the hots for the Napoleon Dynamite dude.

You have a point. Every thread is full of J's crap. Nasty shit. Ann does nothing to stop it. I think it is time to search elsewhere. Hell, most of the good people from there are here anyway (maybe Freeman, deborah, dicentra and a few others will make the leap too).

That's a great Phil Leotardo clip. But I like this one even more. Yeah, it's a little "off-color"/offensive/whatever, but I love Tony's reaction and the excuse Phil gives to his gang after being told that the wine makes him emotional.

This made me think of EBL's antics.
