Hey the Steelers won the Super Bowl but Philly is still winning the Sandwich Bowl!

Jeeez Cheeze Wiz, can't we stop Philly once this year. They are still winning the sandwich poll. Now people have accused us of only featuring idealized sandwiches on this blog, but I will have you know that the sloppy cheese steak is nobodies ideal.

Hey.

I called it again.

Birds plus 7 are winners where it counts---in Vegas.

Subscribe to my sports network for only $9.99 a month, yes, that's right only $9.99 a month and I will pick the winners for you!

Oh I had no ideal.

Better get used to calling it "the world champion Philly Cheesesteak"

I could play rough here and vote for Pastrami 8-9 more times, but I won't.

I play fair.

Yer poll is verfukt, I keep seeing the one with Barb Eden et al, even though titled "Favorite sandwich."

Oh, that's not an error? 'Kay!

If it weren't an error, you'd be able to select two of them....

In keeping with the goals of the new administration, voting on these polls should not be secret but done via irreversible card-check. I can produce as many signed & checked cards for Pastrami on Rye as needed in the name of truth and social justice, of course. Sí se puede, indeed. Remember...

After looking at the pictures of the Cheesesteak I wanted one last night.

I yelped where to go and was overwhelmed by the places. I had a quesadilla instead.

Where in NYC has the best cheesesteak Troop?

I like my cheesesteak with mushrooms. Yum.

No onions though. I hate onions. I think I hate onions more than any other food group.

It's hard to come up with a place that has a good cheese steak as the ones they have in Philly. This place Shnack on Union Street that was owned by Alan Harding had a pretty good one.

The best one I ever had was in the roadside stand across the street from the old Veterans staduim in Philly. Don't know the name of the place but it was great.

I think onions are just gross.

The taste, smell, the crunch when you bite into them. Nasty.

I always walk by tons of sub shops around NYC but never know which was is good.

How about slices Troop, any suggestions on where to get a really good slice?

I suppose onion rings are out too then. You've got some strange quirks there Titus.

I like the batter on the onion rings.

Coming from you, that's a bit of a surprise.

Why, thank you knox for the kind words!!! I've wondered if that was you when I've run across your comments here but when I clicked through to the profile I wasn't sure. (FWIW, I agree with you about the Reuben.) BTW, I'm usually hanging around ambivablog these days.

Hi Randy. Big shout out from me too, old friend.

randy,

I always missed you when you stopped hanging out at Althouse. I am avoiding all political blogs lately, so I won't be seeing you at ambivablog any time soon.

Back at ya' Meade!

Knox: I understand. Trooper is far more entertaining (not to mention probably being much healthier as well ;-)

I'm here too, bitch! No, but SRSLY, tell me where you are and I'll tell you where nearby is decent (if any).
