Have you listened to it yet? What's your take on it? Does your mind move along with it, or do the words turn into background? I find older books tricky to listen to on tape/CD, but it might be the way my brain works.
I loved it. It makes one think completely differently about the way the words were put together. I'm usually driving when I listen to it but if I shut my eyes, the visuals are different than reading it. I should read the whole thing again, but alas too little time.
Bob Dylan recorded a 14 minute song about the Titanic on his latest album. I was enthused about this at first but after listening to it I haven't been able to figure out the meaning.
The soon to be released, Deep Thoughts...by Titus, lies tied up in knots, waiting and begging to be sensuously read and wrung dry. If Gottfried won't lend his voice to the project, MamaM and the Tits will volunteer!
But if SixtyG could be convinced to add his rasp to the mix, especially for the shouting and loaf parts, I'd willingly expand the name on the label to MamaM and the Hard Headed Tits.
The visual of the woman eating her salad while supposedly hearing the same words the viewer is listening to and the reader is reading, made me laugh. It captured the fun and strangeness of a "things are/aren't as they seem" moment.
Sort of like reading past posts on TY. I've been searching archives for the music/bird comment deborah asked about. The multi-layered, two-things-going-on-at once present in them comes close to the blow job joke on the other thread. That TY stores these neatly sorted and sordid posts in a tidy column of bizarre tags and sequentially numbered entries, adds to the cachet.
I hate Sarah Jessica Parker, Robin Williams, Tim Robbins, Susan Saradon, the BJ Hunnicut guy, brussel sprouts, the Boston Red Sox, commies and well, lawyers.

Good one, Troop. For all the attention EBL.1 gave that book, I'd be surprised if she overlooks this gem.
Carol Herman was a huge fan of narrated books. She convinced me to buy Twain's "Tom Sawyer".

Althouse had that clip up before. So did I. It is comic gold.
The thought that Ann and Meade actually do that stuff on their own is sort of disturbing.

Oh! Sorry, I honestly missed that. I take back what I wrote up there.

That is hi-larious!! I had to untie Mrs Haz so she could hit the replay button.
I have seen it before and I find it incredibly crude and offensive.

I didn't know that other people had posted this. Sorry.
I found it while searching out a video of Gilbert on the "Burn" talking about the two headed girl.

It is well worth posting again and again. It is funny.
I just find the imagery. of Meade and EBL reading "50 Shades" together on a Saturday night after some wine disturbing.
That is PRICELESS!!!!
