Hank Steinbrenner was in the papers today saying it might not be the Yankees year because we had a lot of injuries. Very reasonable in my opinion. You can't make the playoffs every year no matter how much you spend. We had a ton of injuries and sometimes shit happens.
But that douchebag Mike Francesa on WFAN was blasting Hank and saying he didn't know what he was talking about. Now this is the same douche who said that we had to keep Joba as a reliever when anyone can plainly see his future is as a starter. Just like Hank said. Who the fuck does Francesa think he is and what the hell does he know? The only douche who is more clueless is his partner Chris Russo.
Let's see how the rest of the season goes. We can still steal the wild card. But if we don't that's ok because this is a transitional year. Anybody with half a brain can see that.

Philly has several sports talk/ news experts too. They know so frigging much. One guy (Howard Eskin) can never form an opinion unless he hears everyone elses opinions first.
There are some good guys though like Al Morganti.
One of the worst TV sportscasters here is an ex-Giant Beesly Reece. Terrible. Not a blowhard or obnoxious just blah if you know what I mean.
I never got why Franseca was popular. Wasn't he one of the regulars who sucked up to Imus?
Yeah, but he was supposedly knowledgable about sports and he was Bill Parcells asshole buddy. So he got a lot of inside info when Parcells coached the Giants and especailly when he coached the Jets. But all he does is repeat himself and say the same stuff over and over. The guy who is really good on the FAN is Joe Benigo who was the overnight guy who now does midday. He was a caller who won a contest and got a job. He is a regular guy who really roots for his team and is very knowledgable. But he doesn't talk down to his callers and is very fair while still being pretty funny. Give him a listen.
