None of you peons know I wrote a paean to Prima based on my childhood: link

That is my YouTube video -- not some internet shlub's.

You need to convince her that you are Louis and she is Keely.

No one ever got more mileage out of just standing there than Keely Smith. She had IT.

I always think of "Jungle Book".

Age differences, I guess.

chickelit said...

I didn't know you watched Disney, blake.

I know Troop doesn't like Disney.

Carol_Herman couldn't stand him either.

blake said...

I get people not liking Disney. But he was brilliant, as an artist and businessman.

When I was a kid, even though he was dead, his old stuff and the old WB cartoons were about the only game in town.

Corn Ilk!!!

There it was, blowing in the wind over at Turley's today..

Thanks for setting up the corn fun, Mhaz! All that's missing are the tassels.

ndspinelli said...

Mama, If you ever showed up over there Inga might stroke out!

Is it me, or is the talentless and annoying Mary Steenburgen ruining the final season of Justified. Her Hillary plug last week made me throw up a little in my mouth.

When you guys do mischief elsewhere with Inga, do a link so we can all see!

MamaM said...

I don't do mischief with Inga over there. Her distorted and twisted antics bear a strong resemblance to behavior I grew with, which Is what set off my alarm the first time she mooed. There are others at Turley's who have her number and do a fine job of taking her on and keeping her somewhat contained. DBQ fires shot after shot, hits the target dead on, only to have it disappear, reform and reappear in another thread, like a rigged video game. Inga's got the Alinsky twist down to an art now, much smoother and slimier than her first attempts at blog division.

If you're interested, she's currently doing her poking and hooking thang over at Turley's today, rustling up some action by identifying EBL as a sock-puppet for the commenter "Tellingitlikeit is" and linking to EBL's Marie Harf post, so there's that for current action , complete with a shout out for
Moo-boy a little farther down (Starts Feb 19, 3:36 to 4:20 pm)

Mama, I called that thread a Superfund Toxic Waste site on a normal thread. Turley is intimidated by women. He knows she's toxic. Reading between the lines on what he has said to me in emails, and watching Toxic Tina[Inga] operate the last few months, I think Inga is on double secret probation, not being allowed to use any sockpuppets. Those 17 in one night when Turley was on vacation was psycho.

MamaM said...

Those 17 in one night...

It was, ND. The marvel of being able to shamelessly employ that many puppets at one time without a whit of self awareness or redeeming humor, while simultaneously offloading and dumping shame onto others, speaks volumes.

That's not corn, it's pathalogical sickness, on the order of ear rot

The probation theory would explain why things have seemed more balanced lately.

MamaM said...

*Pathological

Or maybe just plain path to go with the psycho.

Hey Nick where can I get Turley's e-mail?

It's jturley@law.gwu.edu

The unfiltered internet does not conduce to the disquisitions of philosophers, but tends rather to this.

chickelit said...

TTBurnett: Your link reminded me of Bissage: convinced nihilist, practicing lawyer, rake, saint, cynic and potential suicide.

chickelit said...

I would like a link to the Turley thread wherein Inga donned 17 masks. I missed that.

Aridog said...

Chickelit...missed it? ... so did I...but I admit I stopped trying to spot her puppets long ago. She even changes her "names" up front, now we're getting "Inga (Annie)" .... how soon before Allie Oop returns :-) ??

TTBurnett said...

chickelit: In Hogarth's day, per my link above, you had to pay the modern equivalent of 2 or 3 dollars to get in to see the lunatics in Bedlam during visiting hours. We're far in advance of that now, as they're on display, free of charge, anytime, wherever comments may be found on the internet.

Aridog said...

Chickelit...you want to have some idle fun with Google, try "Ingemouse" in a query. Almost hilarious.

Trooper York said...

You really don't want to see what Inga is doing to that poor sap Turley. I feel for him.

chickelit said...

I was thinking of linking my "Inga-Gotta-Divide-Us" jingle over there for the benefit of those who never heard it here, but I decided not to. It actually makes her cackle and laugh -- she loves the attention.

TT, I wouldn't have met several good people, or had my life affected in numerous ways, positive as well as growth prompting negatives, were it not for the unfiltered internet and the bedlam that's been part of those interactions.

The internet is one form of communication. Churches also have their share of toxic and crazy people, in them and running them. So do businesses, hospitals and schools. It's the way of the world.

Whenever I hear you go negative on the internet, I feel frustrated by the all or nothingness of your pronouncements, as I would not have received the blessing I have from some of your comments, were I to consider this place and others to be a crazy darkened corn hole.

Yes, there's wisdom in not casting pearls before swine, at the same time salt that's lost its saltiness is of little value.

chickelit said...

I second MamaM's sentiments towards TT's "internet" comments. I value them highly, even if Troop is always trying to convince us that Tim played flute in Jethro Tull.

chickelit said...

Why is Titus attacking Troop at Lem's when Troop isn't even there? link

Trooper York said...

Because he wants the attention

ndspinelli said...

Titus has cabin fever. I assume Tim does as well. But, Tim is normal.

Aridog said...

Trooper... I long ago assigned "Titus" to scroll over territory. Has he ever said anything constructive? Mostly it is a lot of BS.

Trooper York said...

Oh I agree. I have a bunch of people in scroll over territory.

I had a nice conversation by email with Turley about it. It is time to make some cuts.

Trooper York said...

I asked him if he could see the sharks fin.

chickelit said...

The shark's fin is the highest barrier to jumping one.

Trooper York said...

Precisely. Luckily he weathered the task.
