You the people we used to interact with but are not longer around. For one reason or another. I mean you don't necessarily miss them but you would hear from them every day.
People like MadisonMan, Garage Mahal, Robert Cook or AJ Lynch.

Those were the days my friend!
Once upon a time there was a tavern...
Mama, And like all taverns, talking religion is not a good idea.
Speaking of religion, can I summon TT as well tonight. A good man we see too little of.
Playing with a replica in the bathtub took the sting off losing the Graf Spee.
Wow, I forgot all about Luckyoldson. What a brutal b*stard he was. But after awhile I realized his comments were just the standard Alinsky insult line. Took the sting off.
Corn: haven't done a thing with corn for like decades...other than corn on the cob in summer. As a kid I loved it. Cream of corn soup. Even better, corn fritters. Now, nada. Corn, where is thy sting?!
ricpic, I love any kind of fritters. Ever have conch fritters? There is a restaurant in Fort Lauderdale, I can't remember the name. I think it's mentioned in Travis McGee books. Anyway, they make incredible conch fritters w/ a great aioli.
Did you know conch is pronounced conk? I didn't. Just found out when looking up the recipe. Pretty important to know if you don't want to be taken for an ignorant tourist when ordering.
ricpic, I learned the correct pronunciation @ the aforementioned restaurant.

Indeed!
Did you know conch is pronounced scungilli?
Evi, Scungilli is how it was pronounced when I was growing up. My old man and I would eat scungilli and also eel, a very sweet meat.
