It's gonna snow! WE NEED MILK AND BREAD!

Make sure it is gluten-free low sodium bread and non-lactose milk.

One plus for having an coronary issue: Aren't you glad your heart condition has you off bread and milk?

It's funny what happens here when a winter storm warning is issued. The white bread and bottled milk flies off of the grocer's shelves. I have no idea why.

I'd buy soup bones and vegetables. And probably some booze. All that soup is bad for you.

And bottled water by the gallon. People who live in homes with water faucets in half the rooms buy gallons of bottled water. I have never figured this out. Even if the electricity goes off, the city has generators to run the waterworks.

Humans. Whaddaya gonna do?

Trooper, how about some snowmageddon blogging form a NYC viewpoint?

Go here and hover over your part of NYC to listen to police/fire over your computer.

America is counting on you.

The Union of Soviet Socialist Boroughs stands vigilant against the forces of Trotskyite snow treachery! Hail Comrade DiBlasio!

No more racist Stop and Shovel!

We got plenty of bread but only one gallon of milk.

I just checked. the snow has started to come down.

If worse comes to worse in NYC, start with eating the carriage horses. They are doomed anyway.

How's snowmageddon this morning, east coasters?

It is cold here, but the cold arrived after the rain moved northward. So no snow for us, just a cold day. It will probably get up to 33 degrees, we do have a lot of sunshine, so all in all, can't really complain.

It's windy, so I might not get out for much of a walk today. Have been out in the shop, looking for plumbing tools - what's better than trying to resolve plumbing issues on a day when it's too cold to work outside? Not much, that's all I can say.

Let me tell you what is better - what is better is when the amateur plumber/homeowner cleans the trap, uses a snake to snag a hairball further down the pipe, then, in an effort to snag another, completely blocks the drain, thereby necessitating a call to a professional plumber.

The guy I have been working with for many years is a giant - got to be 6'5", you know, at least 2' taller than I am - how he can scrunch up enough to work on the pipes in a dinky little vanity or in a crawl space that Munchkins would find a bit cramped is beyond me. But he does. And he accepts cash - so win win, am I right?

We enjoyed the wind overnight, then sent it to Sixty. 30-60 mph gusts. Tree limbs everywhere this morning and the slightest dusting of snow. Might make it into the 30s today, but it was only 26 around noon when I came back from town.

"I gotta get the bread and milk." It's crazy here anytime snow is mentioned in the forecast. The bread and milk aisles look like stores from the USSR when the Southerners are done.

"only one gallon of milk"

Spoken like a man with a lot of kids, a lot of cats, or an incredible milk jones.

Of course I can just pull my own utters and get some cream for my coffee. Snow or no snow.

That guy clearly is not pioneer stock.

Not kosher, Evi, definitely not kosher.

Too close to cooking the kid in it's mother's milk for starters, and then it proceeds into bearing false witness regarding the dexterity of cloven hooves and tongues.
