People change you know.

Lots of people dug the photo of the early Bette Davis when she was a young ingenue. Unspoiled and untouched by the passage of the years or the vicissitudes of making it in show business. The passage of years change all of us. Both our appearance and our personality. Bette seemed to have a very strong and dominant personality. She did not suffer fools gladly or at all. She had to fight for roles and for her place in Hollywood. Every one of those fights were etched into her personality if not into her face. She was a tough broad without a lot of sympathy for the weaknesses of others. She was used to having her own way and would try to bulldoze anyone who got in the way. She got a real tough skin. She was dangerous.

The opposite of a cougar. Maybe a wolverine.

I dunno, Troop.
She could grow on you.

Like barnacles, or kudzu.

Celebrity is a disease that kills the soul.
