No patty-fingers, if you please. The proprieties at all times. Hold on to your hats

OT (but not really) I finally watched "The Quiet Man." Wonderful, just wonderful. Thanks to all who recommended it.
I hate say I told you so, but I told you so. Here at Trooper York we introduce to new things you are going to love. Great Beers. Hot Chicks. Boars Head Pepper Ham. Camel toe.
Well you will like most of it.

Wasn't the original in black and white?
Nope.
Republic Pictures had a color process they wanted to use that they owned the rights to, but John Ford insisted they use Technicolor, at a great expense.
Great film.
The use of color is striking--lots of orange on green- like what a grown-up version of Ruth Anne's avatar would be like--with all due propriety, of course.
The beauty of Ireland is never better illustrated. The lush green of the Emerald Isle is there for you to see. It is John Ford's love letter to his ancestral home.
That is what movies should be about. Not mind numbing sex and violence.
You get enough of that at home.
Oh, I'm so glad you thought it was wonderful, chickenlittle.
"Here's a good stick to beat the lovely lady."
Ha ha.
I just watched it too. I found it at my public library. Loved it - with Guinness and popcorn.
Aww...we have two new fans of The Quiet Man thanks to Trooper York's place.
Love that.
