Ive got the world on a string
Im sitting on a rainbow
Got the string around my finger
What a world, what a life -
Im in love
Ive got a song that I sing
I can make the rain go
Any time I move my finger
Lucky me, cant you see - Im in love
Lifes a wonderful thing
As long as I hold the string
Id be a silly so-and-so
If I should ever let her go

That's the gold diggers with Deano and Frank.
Deano was an incredibly handsome guy. Doesn't do Frankie any favors to be sitting next to him.
Remember the routine where Deano would bring out a gold digger dressed as a leopard with a diamond choker and chain? Sexy? You wouldn't believe. Damned routine ruined me for life.
Hey I am searching all over the internets for that exact photo.
That is one hot Gold Digger Babe!
This is pre-Twiggy, I presume.
Hey dude, the Associated Press says our nation is hurting, so get with th e fucking plan and knock off the happy self-satisfied noises.
In other news 3 of the 6 richest coun ties in the country are DC suburbs.
Always loved Deano. What a class act. Started his show with a Scotch and a cigarette.
I loved Deano, too. I was just watching a clip of him singing a song from his show on youtube the other day. Hilarious. He butchered it (one of my favorite songs!), but I didn't care.
Incredibly handsome is right. The voice, the looks, the devilish personality...he had it all.
His celebrity roasts were always a hoot. Ice cubes clinking in glasses near live microphones. And
who can forget Foster Brooks?

Well in fairness he probably just polished off half a fifth before the show.

Was he related to Foster Grant?
@Hoosier Daddy - Yeah, and he was smoking all the way through it, too. Funny.
Well in fairness he probably just polished off half a fifth before the show.
OK, I have to post this excerpt from Wikipedia, because I've been very confused about the drinking thing:
Despite Martin's reputation as a heavy drinker — a reputation perpetuated via his vanity license plates reading 'DRUNKY' — he was remarkably self-disciplined. He was often the first to call it a night, and when not on tour or on a film location liked to go home to see his wife and children. Shirley MacLaine in her autobiography confirmed that Martin was sipping apple juice (not liquor) most of the time onstage. He borrowed the lovable-drunk shtick from Joe E. Lewis, but his convincing portrayals of heavy boozers in Some Came Running and Howard Hawks's Rio Bravo led to unsubstantiated claims of alcoholism.
That was very true until the terrible tragedy of his son's death. After that he went to same restaurant in Hollywood every night to drink himself into a stupor. It was very sad.
Interesting, blake. He played a good buzzed up crooner, then.
But if he wasn't drunk, I should feel like smacking him for messing up "Bye, Bye Blackbird". And....nopes. It's still funny.
I think the cigarette always added the aura of class.
Today it's the equivalent of being in the Waffen SS.
