I think it is because he is a vocal and commited Christian. There are plenty of shitheads in the league who have ten babies with ten different woman or kill dogs or get stabbed in strip clubs. They have no problems getting a gig. But a kid who has a following and is a proven winner can't get a shot when there are tons of shitty QB's in the league.
It just sucks.

Tebow has some chops. His throwing arm is not there for a starting QB in the NFL, but he should present himself as a player who could play a variety of positions and fill in as QB.
The anti Christian animus is annoying. But the NFL are fools not to make use of this guy. The Jets are just a bunch of stumbling fuck nuts, but I cannot believe ever team in the league is this stupid. Then again, if Tebow is saying he will only play QB, well then he is basically leaving himself a back up slot.
Tebow will be okay. The guy is very well grounded.
Better to leave the NFL early and go on to something else than to stay too long and live out one's years with the hell of brain damage.
Watching Brian Urlacher retire, I can't help but think that in a few years he'll be on suicide watch because of all the trauma his brain suffered in high school, college and NFL.
Tebow was being called out of football for a reason.

Maybe, maybe you can say he is not as good as every starting QB in the league which I think is bullshit but ok let's concede that.
Are you trying to tell me every backup is better? Because that is total bullshit. They are just afraid that the starter will fail and the fans will want Tebow....and he will succeed.
No way is Jay Cutler better than Tebow. Nor are Matt Cassel, Matt Moore, Christian Ponder and probably six other current NFL quarterbacks.
Why not throw Tebow to the Lions?
