"It's a giant searchlight that illuminates a pair of breasts in the night sky. That's how we used to get Sptizer here in two minutes."
"But that won't work with Patterson. How the hell is he gonna see it Jesus Mary and Joseph."
"Well ring a bell or something I don't know! We have to put a stop to this. Right now!"

You can put down the bells, although I myself really love to hear their tinkle and clang. But enough about me.
Patterson has primed his olfactories. He can sniff out the "good" and the "bad" easily enough. Sweat and cologne, notwithstanding.
Should we ponder how he responds to "other heady aromas"? Or would that be too personal?

Patterson cares about the damage this trial is gonna do to NYC the way he cares about ruinous taxation. Could any last minute attempt to save his own skin by playing Mr. Responsible be more transparent?
And just to make up for that serious comment I want to compliment MH on the editor's scalpel he applied to his LBJ comment. ;^)
