Hey the wife rips the New York Times a new one about the bullshit article they wrote about the plus fashion industry on her blog at Never Say Diet. She let's you know what is what and asks the important question:
"Why can't it just be about the clothes?"
Check it out.

Don't get me started about the NYT. I'm sorry that that newspaper is so mean to regular people--including everybody in flyover country. With them, fashion is all about some hyped-up über-svelte version of haute couture--c'est glamour! Speaking of svelte, the NYT should check out their own share price!
When Obamacare gets shoved down our throats like an unchewed hotdog, you're gonna start seeing some wholesale demonization of plus-sized people. The cheerleaders at the NYT are just getting warmed up.
Because they're waaaaay too smart to just write about clothes. They have to tell you what everything means in the context of the whole cultural zeitgeist.
Anybody have the phone number for the model they used?
(for research purposes, only, of course)

Ahhh, so it was written by professional journalists.
