Grubering at TOP

My erstwhile email informant sent me this comment posted at some thread about Leisure Suit Larry being bullied at Ithmus:

 SamanthaHill said...
Meade knows of what I speak. He gets bullied to no end over at Lem's Levity. It's ugly there, it's ugly at the Isthmus and it's ugly here. It happened many times over the years here and was ignored by Althouse. The fact that someone needs to ask about the bullying and doxing here is laughable.
I don't know who Samantha Hill is as I do not recognize the name. I think it is a sockpuppet for someone like Inga although it seem a little too well spoken for that nitwit.
The "doxing" thing is new. I didn't even know what that was until the recent dust up about the shirt guy where Instapundit was accused of doxing the simpleton who made the original tweet. I thought doxing was when Capitan Aubrey caught a dose of the clap from a waterfront trollop. Who knew?
This is just further confirmation of Michael Haz's origninal formulation. While Professor Turley is called on to defend the Constitution......the evil blogger lady is fighting in the comments section about people being mean to Lawnboy. Just goes to show you!
Hat tip to Spinelli. He was right about Turley. I am not someone to not admit when they are wrong. I still think that Turley is a liberal weenie but his heart is in the right place. At least he realizes that Obama is treating the Constitution like it was a liquor store in Ferguson, Mo.

I just planted a bomb at Lem's so lets see if it explodes.

Thanks, Trooper. He has alienated his liberal friends but he seems to care not. I can spot integrity. No one is tougher on attorneys than me..well you are tougher. But, I know them better than just about anyone, working w/ them for 40 fucking years. I can spot the ones w/ integrity. It takes time. You have to see them on several issues. The attorneys I've known w/ integrity were very liberal to conservative. But, they ALWAYS put the law above politics. One guy did insurance defense work. He is more liberal than JT. He put politics aside and was TOUGH on liberal plaintiff's attorneys and their clients. Respectful, HONEST, but tough as nails. The guy is friends w/ Russ Feingold!

We are opposite JT on most issues, global warming being a recent one. But, I have busted him hard over the past couple years. You can bust him, as long as you don't go over the top. He takes criticism very well. He has true self esteem. TOP is an insecure twat and a ham n' egger. JT is the real deal.

Now I have to go find it.

Hey you were right Nick. Money talks and bullshit walks and he put his money where his mouth is. He is risking his reputation and his jobs at various media outlets by standing up for the Constitution. You have to admire that.

I started a drum roll to see them add Turley to the blog roll. I hope Lem does that. It will make it easier for people to click over.

It's a stealth bomb Evi but I am sure you can figure it out.

Who in the Sam Hill is she?

MamaM said...

Chip S, it's all in the set-up! Once again, nice pitch!

Sam Hill is an American English slang phrase, a euphemism or minced oath for "the devil" or "hell" personified.

I also don't agree with some of Turley's stances....particularly that he has bought the Global Warming hoohaah hook line and sinker.

But it do believe that he is a strict Constitutionalist Adherence to the Constitution is one of the main belief of the Tea Party. Small Government and Personal Responsibility as well.

He has to know the shit storm....as opposed to shirt storm that will be headed his way with the libtards who can't see beyond their noses.

SamHill is likely Inga reborn. She is always harping on bullying...boo hoo. AND she has been blessedly absent from the Turley blog as of late.

Poor Meade. You know if he wasn't such a dick, maybe people wouldn't be picking on poor 'ittle Meade.

It is pretty funny you have to admit.

Still titing and tating over people being mean to Meade when he is nothing but a dick to people at Lem's.

Them this SamHill comes along to praise him and say he gets bullied at Lem's.

It is to laugh.

Any time, MamaM.

On the plus side, Lem's Levity finally got a mention over at Althouse.

And the Blog Roll the ol Meadola insisted wasn't significant now sits under a "Support this blog by starting here:" directive in bold letters. Well, actually it sits under that, a pic of the lady herself and the donate button. Nothing important there, just the wife filling up space and cluttering up her blog with stuff that doesn't matter enough for a mention.

Pusillanimous was one of the words trotted out today at TOP and it aptly applies to the petty spirited act of leaving Lem's Levity off the Blogroll.

I remember when Larry said that, MamaM. It was one of the TOP Two's transparent lies.

Just think how different things would be today if, instead, they had embraced Lem's from the start and ultimately apologized for shitting all over their former commenters.

Of course, I also sometimes think about how different things would be if pigs could fly.

ChipS, What I learned to do in my profession is to think like the person I'm investigating. You do background on the person, watch them, listen to them, and get a feel for who they are. With the Madison couple, it's all there. They provide us w/ all we need to understand them. I've seen people like them previously. And although how they think and treat people is antithetical to how you and I are, I understand it. Embracing Lem's, and treating commenters w/ respect is impossible for them.

Nick, you're absolutely right. Too bad some of us didn't see it from the beginning. Other, more astute commenters did, leaving promptly when they got the lay of the land.

For instance, Gerard Vanderleun, who had been head of the "Trade" Division (not textbooks or reference) at Houghton-Mifflin was an early commenter back in 2004-2005/6. I was impressed, because he was a well-known guy in publishing and an author himself. He was fairly conservative/independent-minded, unusually for someone in the former Big Publishing. I appreciated his relatively few but astute comments. That was, as I recall, before I started commenting myself. Anyway, he vanished. Some time later he explained elsewhere that at work, he had to deal daily with people whose opinion of themselves stood higher than reality would support, and that he didn't need another as a hobby.

Tim, Thanks. I always appreciate the history of TOP. I am probably one of the newest people. I didn't start reading and commenting until August 2010. Hell, the dysfunctional duo were already hitched by then. Mr. Vanderleun nailed it.

I took a moment to look at TOP...and I noticed a change in the moderation statement, .....

There's always moderation on older posts, and sometimes moderation on newer posts.

I wonder how "sometimes" (on newer posts) is determined? Is it based upon the identity of the commenter, or what? Does it involve compost?
