I am enjoying the ending so much more than the begining

The Fall of the House of the Evil Blogger Lady commences apace.

It is very enjoyable.

I note that several people have emailed or posted at me that they deleted SiteMeter. Obviously it is because it is telling them something they do want to hear. The same reason that they blew up their blog and forced out so many commenters who also said things that they did not want to hear.

Now I understand it is all Crack all the time with most threads degenerating into a monologue by Crack about the misdeeds of whitey and the need for reparations. But maybe that is the nature of blogs. It seems that Turley's turns into the Inga show on almost every thread. But the decline of the Evil Blogger Lady is very pleasing.

Turley's is rapidly becoming a waste of time. He needs to give Darren full administrative authority while he's occupied with the House lawsuit.

Unless that happens, I suspect I'll skip it over there for a while.

I am enjoying tormenting Inga without interacting with her but I basically agree with you Ari.

Aridog said...

Scratch that, Ms Inga will still dampen the carpet everywhere with her insanity...even my cat knows to use a litter box and the dog(s) know to go outside.

I just saw the National Guard that is deployed in Ferguson. Bunch of guys with what looks like bicycle helmets, face shields, and Plexiglas body shields...and no weapons. Woooooo they so scary!

In my ancient past, 1967 to be exact, we had the 101st Airborne, plus light infantry and heavy motorized infantry National Guardsmen, in full combat gear, & rifles with bayonets fixed. When you faced a platoon with four squads arrayed in a wall, two lines deep, bayonets fixed, coming down the street, you got the flip out of the way. When an M-48 tank pulled up and the commander began hosing a suspect location with a .50 caliber M2 heavy machine gun you paid attention.

WTF is going on today?

ndspinelli said...

If you poke. but not directly. it drives her nuts. Too many people directly engage her.

They must believe it's getting worse, and it may be.

Who could forget this classic post?

Crack has a post on how he is off the Althouse blogroll for hosting a hate site. Which is funny since Crack accused me of wearing KKK robes for disagreeing with him just a few days ago.

Sometimes Schadenfreude is especially sweet.

Chick will tell you what that means. If he's enterprising, he will even link the song.

Great for drinking beer.

I've been sipping a little semi-terrible Mondavi Riesling (Hey, it's cheap), so of course I lapse into German.

Considering the source of the wine, I should lapse into Valley Girl or Spanish.

Aridog said...

Correction...I just noticed that the National Guardsmen have something on their right hip that may be a pistol, perhaps the standard Beretta M9. Or it may be a cell phone to call home if they're getting stomped. :-)

I really don't get the bike helmet & visor bit and the Plexiglass shield. However, times change...in 1967 you tended to not mess with a guy with a 7.62 caliber rifle and a fixed bayonet...in fact you preferred to not get very close to them. When I was stopped back in the day after curfew driving to or from work, I paid v-e-r-y close attention to what they were doing with those rifles. Trust me on that. Being a white guy didn't matter...and some of the Airborne guys were black to boot. No surprise my usual smart mouth self was extremely courteous in those days.

Still, not the imposing figure of a fully dressed soldier with rifle and bayonet.

Aridog said...

Nick...I am way beyond being able to just poke at Annie/Inga, Ollie, et al ad nauseum ...she is psychotic. If she continues to dominate threads at Turley's without interruption, I am probably done there...I cannot understand what her charm is to the Professor, other than perhaps pity. The other idiots I can ignore, like Zed or whatever he/she/it is....I was highly amused on his/her/its soliloquy about pistol shooting in a combat situation. Ain't been in any firefights I'd guess. Never mind the presumption that "immersion" isn't a beneficial experience if living among minorities. Trooper's been doing that his whole life, as have I...I don't even think of it as unusual.

Michael Haz said...

Ari - it looks like the Guardsmen who are standing perimeter at several businesses are carrying rifles. And the ones near the PD HQ are carrying side arms. Let's hope that some idiot didn't issue no-shoot orders.

Turley puts up some very well written topics. The morning commentary is interesting, usually. I check out at noon when the hens arrive, along with a couple of thick skulled progressives..

Michael Haz said...

For a lawprof blog, Althouse is embarrassing. Not much law going on there, but plenty of fashion and gay marriage, still. How she can justify the racist ranting of C MC on what is ostensibly a professor's blog is beyond me.

Physical attraction?

chickelit said...

I think Turley is headed for a quandary. I'm not the fanboy you guys are, but I do recognize and appreciate the gravitas of the suit he's taken on and also want to see him succeed. If he were to even appear being distracted by policing the back and forth of a blog comment section would, in my opinion, be detrimental to his case. Don't even mention the agitprop opportunities that progressives would smell there.

chickelit said...

physical attraction?

I mean, acute white guilt (from which she apparently suffers) doesn't explain it all. So there must be something else.

The same holds for Freeman Hunt's unyielding support.

rcocean said...

Tim- try some "Blue Nun" and tell us the result.

ndspinelli said...

Ari, He feels sorry for her and he is an old fashioned, protect the woman guy. Inga sent him exchanges I had w/ her elsewhere which he found disturbing. So, when she arrived a year ago he treated her w/ kid gloves. The one thing he has always understood, however, is that she STALKED ME to his blog. I've said this previously, it took many of us awhile to see the true colors of Inga. We must not forget that fact. He's getting there. Her grammar school horseshit when he was in Italy pissed him off, he said so in so many words. Darren has her read, and Turley relies on Darren for much. While I'm thinking of it, while you were on sabbatical, Darren fixed the wordpress problems. You might want to give him a thanks.

We all want Inga to get the golden sombrero and strike out @ her 4th blog, that we know of, anyway. She has been softened up w/ some body blows. NEVER mention her by name. NEVER directly engage her. Make obtuse digs about her being only an LPN. I don't know if you folks realize it but I got her in a trick bag shortly after she arrived @ Turley's. Like recently getting her to admit she is on SS Disability, I got her to admit that she has only ever been an LPN. But, in her stupid, childish, insecure way, she said she had a BS and MS in nursing from Marquette. She has NEVER repeated that because she was smart enough to realize even people who supported her knew it was a fucking lie. She went into a TORTURED explanation about how she could allegedly have a Masters but never been an RN. PaulS digs her on that. He's our Cliff Claven. I have told him offline to not directly engage Inga. He was honest enough to admit he's too impulsive to resist.

I have mentioned in the past that I have a source. This source reached out to me after Inga posted vile comments about my wife and daughter on Amazon. The source told me Inga lost weight on that Paleo diet she would incessantly preach, but has ballooned back up. So, I take subtle digs that way. Never directly reference other blogs, Turley hates that. Keep the digs obtuse, never directly engage, and she will implode. Turley has banned several people. He's ready to pull the trigger on her.

ndspinelli said...

chick, I see you and garage going @ it @ TOP on Ferguson. Nostalgic.

ndspinelli said...

It's obvious JT suspended mespo. He's posting and commenting @ the schism blog, Flowers For Socrates. That place makes for funny reading.

Aridog said...

Haz...yes, I finally saw a few Guardsmen with weapons, but no bayonets. You said you hoped they don't have no shoot orders. Well they way that is accomplished is to issue them only a few cartridges or none at all. In my distant pass I was ordered to take my squad out to assist the MP's with riotous crowd suppression ...that made it 8 MP's (with only pistols) and 9 of my squad...we were issued only 5 rounds each...for a situation that had the 17 of us facing a crowd of 5 to 10,000, with our meager ration, but we still had bayonets. We managed to pull of the bluff more to the credit of our thespian abilities than any real power.

Full disclosure...all 9 of us in my squad had at least one bandoleer of 120 rounds under our blouses (fatigue shirts) and could have been court martialed if we'd had to use them. The Academy Award performance by all 17 of us prevented that result. BTW...this short issue was de rigueur for the rotating squads assigned this task...fine actors all of them. We joked at the time that we had 4 rounds for the rioters ad one for ourselves...under the official guidelines. I'm fairly certain in guessing the Guardsmen had similar impediments in Ferguson.

Aridog said...

Chickelit....that gravitas of the business he's in at present is why I suggested giving Darren full admin authority. I think he'd pull the trigger on several agitprop types, who have already arrived much to Inga/Ollie/Annie/Ingemouse, et al's delight. Last gasp was calling me a racist bigot after one simple post, never mind that my whole viewpoint is that if you live among a diverse population and you learn how to deal with it..."immersion" he derisively called it. Maybe so, but it has saved my bacon a few times and I doubt his has never been in the frying pan ever.

That all said and done I am trying to learn the scroll over and ignore procedure that seems to work for others...9 out 10 inane comments by most I ignore. "Zed" (??) bit about Paul proving his point about training police to shoot for the legs or something was hilarious. I presume he's had no real experience and has never heard of suppressing fire...some of Wilson's shots may have been just that before he took the final shots.

I give credibility to Wilson for his outright expression that he was scared (not any easy thing to admit on national television or in front of a jury)...anyone who is in that situation is either scared or psychotic...which is the reason you train, train, train so that training memory takes over. Simple things like even if your heart is pounding like a sledgehammer, you remain in the acquire target, pause breath, and squeeze mode...which isn't so easy when you are amped up.

Morning all and Happy day before Thanksgiving.

Althouse's blog is just pathetic anymore. I look occasionally but there is nothing really to do with law. I'm not interested in her sad life with Leisure Suit Larry or her twisted reminisnces of her childhood.

You would think with the most serious legal battles going on right now in the Supreme Court regarding the IRS and the subsidies for the Federal exchanges and the suit from the House of Representatives with Turley being the ramrod,.....that she.... a constitutional law professor might actually have some commentary. Crickets. I think she is jealous of other legal bloggers who are drawing traffic while she is sinking.

Inga is a psychotic bitch. I agree with Haz. The early comments on his articles are rather good and I do enjoy listening to decent back and forth arguments that address the issues in a sane manner. As soon as Inga and those other dimwit broad and a couple of the extremely dense leftards start in....it's over for me too.

Spinelli is right. Don't engage in conversation with inga. MamaM and I pegged her from the beginning as a manipulative bitch who tried to divide people and get people to team up and attack others. She has the emotional maturity of a 12 year old girl.

Aridog said...

Speaking of thanks due, thanks to Trooper York for providing this untampered with forum we enjoy here. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone, and I know we all have things are supremely grateful for...one day to say so isn't hard. I have others like Memorial Day and Veterans day, but Thanksgiving is understandable to everyone.

I never understood why they call it a law blog. It's not. Intapundit, which is a general cultural and political blog, is way more law related than her digital rag.

to be a law unto yourself: to behave in a way that is independent and does not follow the usual rules for a situation.

I did not want to dogpile on Crack when he went insane (even if there was no defending his madness). But like a raving homeless lunatic, occasionally there are bits of truth coming out of him.

blake said...

Althouse never once referred to her blog as a "law blog" while I was reading. Her byline read something like "I'm a law professor and sometimes I blog about law."

If her lack of attention to law has resulted in missed opportunities, I have to believe they're largely opportunities she wouldn't have enjoyed taking (even if she would enjoy the attention).

blake said...

I knew an LPN who was so fat, when she sat around the floor, she really sat around the floor.

ndspinelli said...

Thanks indeed to the Brooklyn Homeboy. We can speak our minds here and not have crazies rant @ us. Well, for the most part.

blake said...

Wait...is that a cue for me to rant?

chickelit said...

Or is it bitch wit?

Evi L. Bloggerlady said...

Blake, she loved it when she was at the top of Law Blog rankings, till she was not.

MamaM said...

Plus she provides a feature in the header to click on in order to View only LAW posts, presumably to accommodate those who arrive with that desire in mind.

ndspinelli said...

Trooper, Well timed post of the killer nurse photo!!

blake said...

Evi--

Oh, no doubt. But it was always with the caveat that she wasn't really a law blog, not like LI or Volokh or any, you know, ACTUAL law blog.

Trooper York said...

Sometimes I like to comment without actually commenting.

At Althouse I started out posting dialogue from movies that was really commentary on the ongoing conversation.

At Turley I am enjoying posting photos.

Trooper York said...

The best part is when you post something obscure but totally on point that only some people get.

Now that's fun.

I got curious enough to check out the latest law blog rankings at avvo. TOP is 7th, with Legal Insurrection 3d.

By contrast, the one older avvo ranking I could find (Oct. 2011) hat TOP 2d, w/ LI 6th.

Not that any of this matters to TOP, of course.

Shouting Thomas said...

I gotta admit, I'm enjoying observing Crack beat the hell out of Althouse and Meade.

Crack has discovered that TOP is the very epicenter of racism in the universe and that Althouse is the craziest racist in the world.

These guys deserve one another.

Shouting Thomas said...

There are occasions when I am almost tempted to comment on the Crackster's ravings on his blog.

I wonder if the loon understands that the only role a commenter can play on his blog is to be the next fool to be denounced as a racist.

Michael Haz said...

If her lack of attention to law has resulted in missed opportunities, I have to believe they're largely opportunities she wouldn't have enjoyed taking (even if she would enjoy the attention)

One of the drawbacks of her blog is that she wants to interact with commenters. She refuses to acknowledge that someone else may have a valid opinion that disagrees with her opinion, and then the shit starts.

It's especially true with topics about the law, when she devolves into mean professor althouse when someone offers an opinion different than hers.

Go to your room and think about what you said is not part of an engaging conversation. Turley puts up a topic and doesn't engage with commenters. same thing with Insty and Legal Insurrection, and they are far more enjoyable because of it.

Of course, Reynolds, Turley and Jacobs aren't trolling for friends and a new spouse, so there's that.

Trooper York said...

I have to say I have a lot of respect for Turley and Jacobson that I never had for the Evil Blogger Lady.

I am not a fan of Turley's politics but as Nick says he is a stand up guy. He is proving it now.

It is better than Pecan Pie!

rcocean said...

I respect Turley for his support of constitutional principles that conflict with his politics.

I will however support the Althouse in this respect, its very annoying when you've spent your life studying some thing - Law, the Tax Code, whatever, and some Yahoo shows up and starts pontificating and disagreeing.

My hobby is Military history, and I have a problem curbing my tongue.

So, I'd cut Althouse some slack on her lawyer crap.

rcocean said...

As for Crack - he's like Ingra, Titus (what the hell happened to him? Aids?) or any other smart troll.

Good in very small doses but lethal when taken on regular basis.

Evi L. Bloggerlady said...

Althouse is not a lawyer.

She is a law professor.

There is a difference. Not necessarily bad, but definitely different.

Not all law professors are the same. She is a back bencher as a law professor.

That's what caught my attention to your commenting. Those were spot on and a hoot.

Evi L. Bloggerlady said...

I always assumed Titus was a real person (granted, host of the facts of his life being a FAB-rication, but still a real person). Now with his disappearance I think he was a sock puppet from the get.

rcocean said...

Looks like "John turley" commentators just can't get enough Inga.

She's fascinating baby!

I suggest we contact Crack and Titus and get them to comment there too.

Think of the drama. It'd be just like old times. Why Crack and Inga's friends could argue and go on, and on, and on. Just like the old days.

rcocean said...

Titus was a sock? Really? Who would create such a boring, odd ball sock?

A Leftist? A homophobe? a Homophile?

Anyhoo, people certainly loved him as he repeated the same Titus stuff over and over and over again.

Titus is a real person who is a lot smarter than the character he plays.

But then he would have to be.

That reminded me of an ambitious project I started but abandoned (before publishing) on my blog: to show trends in "real" vs. "academic" chemists as rewarded by Nobel Chemistry Prizes.

I may end up using the same escape hatch here as reader_iam did.

I *am* big. It's the *sitemeter* that got small.

rcocean said...

You mean Titus wasn't as stupid as his "I just drooped a big piece of poo" and "Nice tits" comments indicated.

Color me surprised.

KCFleming said...

Perfect, chickelit.

Althouse's appeal is becoming more selective.

Aridog said...

Althouse has no appeal what-so-ever, especially since the all includive insults embodied in the July 2013 emotional meltdown....and the rise of the Meadester as arbiter of all comments that are holy.

I'm hard headed, but I fail to understand who so many people still flock there. I'd never give Meade the slightest opportunity now to judge a comment of mine, never ever...even if he "allowed" it to post. The new moderation rules posted there says that new posts "may" be moderated. WTF? Is that by content or by contributor? I'm betting on the latter first, then the former.

If I were to pass either Althouse or Meade on the street I'd not even nod my head.

Aridog said...

I'm not going to dinner until 7:00 PM this evening. I think my stomach is about to eat my ass, or something. My dinner will be a nice traditional 5+ course meal, with either Lasagna or Saltimbocca Romana as a main course. And it will be in the inner city, in mid-town, because I've never given up on my town. And never will.

Michael Haz said...

Ari, one of the best meals I ever enjoyed was at the Golden Mushroom in Detroit. Is it still in operation?

Aridog said...

Among other things I wish for, I hope Evan Izer sees these posts. His email address appears dead as well as his website. No responses to my last messages this month. I hope you can rise above your problems Evan and one day rejoin us.

BTW, Evan, as you asked in your last message, I am doing fine with the cancer and expect a clean bill of health next month when the CT Scan with contrast is performed to detect any residual cancer.

Let's both of us just be grateful we are alive today. Then we can build on that.

Aridog said...

Haz...I believe the Golden Mushroom (in Southfield, a suburb of Detroit) is closed as far as I know. I may be wrong, but I doubt it. I rarely go out to the suburbs anymore, as Detroit is reinvigorating itself with downtown investments...and I have always favored the downtown environment, even the Soul Food places. Chef Milos Cihelka could not hang on to the hip youngsters with his classic cuisine it seems. Too bad...but a common evolution in this town. Where I am going this evening is one of the few that have survived vibrantly for many decades...you can't get too "hip" for fine Italian dining.

rcocean said...

Detroit sounds a lot better than I was led to believe.

Aridog said...

rcocean....Detroit is better than most media coverage would let you think. However, it is still a city with narrow sections of civility and wide sections of ghetto, plus enough wasteland to farm commercially since the population has decreased to under 750,000 people from 1.5 million plus. The downtown city core is being revitalized by various investors, and has been under this transformation since around 1980 or so. I could not afford to live in the city core these days, but my kid does because she has a splendid job also downtown in the core city.

Detroit is still a place where you are well advised to have local guidance on where to go and where not to go...and sometimes just walking between civil zones can put you in a not to go place. Live here long enough and it becomes instinctive to go through town sensibly and to not provoke people, to smile and not look scared. When in a tough part of town, which I am most days, (and every day when I worked in the federal building) your manners make a difference ... simple things like letting pedestrians cross in front of you and waving in greeting if they nod your way in appreciation.
