Remembrance of things Pabst

So we went to vote for Rob Asterino on Election Day in the hope that he would squeak in but no such luck. We always go and vote straight Conservative to help our cousin Mike Long who is the Chairman of the party. He needs the votes to keep his ballot line.

The voting place was empty and we were in and out. Now Tuesday was our day off and we decided to eat out for a change. Low and behold there was a new joint right across the street from the polling place on Hoyt Street.

The Black Mountain Wine House is your basic hipster joint. Ersatz old furnishings. Delta blues on the stereo. I was just about the oldest fucking hipster in the world. Grandpa Hipster instead of Grandpa Munster. Everyone was about thirty years younger than me.

They did have an excellent BLT and a Mac and Cheese with truffle oil and wild mushrooms. A good Malbac. It was pretty inexpensive. A find.

Just wish we could of been part of the Republican wave.

Delta Blues? Really. That is so pretentious.

It was all Robert Johnson. The douche bartender was impressed that I knew who it was.
