Merry Christmas to All and to all a Good Night!

We are working in the store until the last minute trying to get those last minute shoppers. We are getting a bunch of dudes who are desperate and are very happy to get quality lingerie to give to their ladies without having to go two steps out of their way.

We will work until about nine and then go home to eat. Then Midnight Mass at St. Mary's Star of the Sea.

We are not doing the traditional fish because Lisa is allergic and I don't like it all that much.

We will be off the grid for a couple of days with a secret project. More as it develops.

Merry Christmas, Trooper York!

May you enjoy a peaceful close to this day, and a joyful celebration of the goodness and light that is the heart of Christmas.

Merry Christmas to you!

I am doing the traditional feast because I am allergic to beef.

Merry Christmas to you and your lovely bride from myself and my better half. Merry Christmas to all here. You make my life more enjoyable. We are @ my daughters for Christmas. She has a tiny house so we're staying @ a Residence Inn. She lives near the airport so there are plenty of hotels. Residences are good places for extended stays[3 nights]. We had ham last night, and prime rib and/or swordfish today. Like us, her husband is the chef. When I grew up we always went to my aunt and uncles house for the traditional 7 fish Christmas eve. I LOVED it. Cod[bacala and regular baked], shellfish, pasta w/ anchovies, shrimp, and other seafood. But, my uncle, also the chef, would make these Eytalian fish balls. I forget the name. They were like croquettes, w/ fish worked into the dough. I have never had them since. I looked for them when we were in southern Italy but I think they are indigenous to Christmas eve. They are better than sex.

Merry Christmas, Troop, and all.

Good to see you're commenting again MamaM. I've missed you.

Merry (belated) Christmas, Trooper and Lisa, and everyone else.

Secret project? That sounds interesting!

At least you aren't spending Christmas with an ex-spouse in another state, while leaving your mate at home with a dog.

That's just weird.

Merry Christmas Trooper and family!

Away with your ex? It reminds me of that episode in "Mad Men" where Betty Francis is visiting son Bobby at camp and she and her ex, Don Draper, reminisce horizontally.

Too bad some people refuse to watch "Mad Men" or they'd get that reference.

I watch "Mad Men" but I forget whether Don and Betty bake another maybe in that escapade.

Like Mia and Frank did.

We drove to Florida to surprise the kids.

Had to keep radio silence.

I don't know what you are talking about Michael but I bet it has do with a dog molester and his mark.

I am glad I don't know. Merry Christmas and happy New Year!

How did you drive to FLA?

chickelit said...

We spent Christmas at a fabulous location in Hollywood which is about an hour and a half away. Back now.

Trooper, AA is in TX with her sons and her ex, while Merde is at home in Madison with a neighbor's borrowed dog.

So many questions....

And Ruth Anne's Mad Men analogy is spot on.

Omar drove us.

So basically I took a cab to Florida.

I am starting a series of Omar doing some southern things.

Bass fishing.

Swimming at the swimming hole.

Eating hush puppies

Whittling outside the Cacker Barrel.

Ruth Anne...really good to see you here. Hope your Christmas was bright. Stop by more often...your tone adds to the ambiance of this place.

Omar is like Manny (Gene Canfield) in "Scent Of A Woman."

And you are Frank Slade.

Evi L. Bloggerlady said...

I love Scent of a Woman. It is a great film.

@EBL: Slade hired Manny's limo/cab from NYC to drive them back north to the New England Baird college town. Manny guided the blind Slade into the packed auditorium where he unloaded on the college: link
