Did I tell you lately that the Giants will not win the Super Bowl?

Did I tell you lately that the Giants won't win the Super Bowl?

We blew it big time when it was right in front of us to win. Turnovers and not being able to convert on third down killed us. The Eagles beat us fair and square and I congratulate AJ and all the Philly fans. Job well done.

Did I tell you lately that the Eagles are going to win the Super Bowl?

Donavan McNabb fights his dogs you know?

Trooper York said...

He was calling his bookie to find out the spread when he got that penalty.

I'm so sorry, Trooper. I was rooting for the Giants. I do like the Eagles too, though.

Trooper is the best.

Christy said...

Of course not, the Ravens will! The city is very purple just now.

Hey I was counting on that 16 to 1 ticket I had for the Superbowl.

Easy come, easy go.

The funny thing was if we had beat the Eagles and the Steelers won, we would have beat all the other teams during the regular season. That's why it's hard to beat a team you already played a few times. The Eagles earned it because they beat us 2 out of 3 and they won on the road.

Coach Reed does run a meth lab out of his house though. Just thought you ought to know that.

On 5 Jan Lawgiver posted:

Notice who the two gamers are this week? The Eagles and the Ravens who both prepped for the playoffs by beating Dallas. Both of these birds will make it to the superbowl. Too bad the giants will play like the sissy school girls they really are. McNabb will throw for 300 yards and 4 TDs while the Eagle D will hold the giants to under a 100 yards rushing. You read it here first.

Did I call it or what?

Meade said...

That's it, Troop, get it all out, buddy.

Your blog, your spew.

Want me to hold down Lawgiver for you so you can give him purple nurples?

Trooper York said...

It wasn't you. It was your neighbors dog Sam who is your avatar.

Just don't listen to him when he talks about burnettes parked in cars on Shore Road.

DaLawGiver said...

And he does make some excellent Meth I must say.

Trooper York said...

Don't worry Meade, I am a good loser. I lost a lot of games and fights and arguments over the years. You just got to pick yourself up and start again.

The meth lab was shut down when Reid's sons were arrested for drug possession. Unfortunately, then the price of meth shot up in the Philadelphia area, leading to an increase in break-ins in formerly safe neighborhoods.

You are as gracious as the typical Giants fan. Thanks.

DaLawGiver said...

Hey,

Now the giants are like the cowboys.......LOSERS.

Seriously, it must suck to play in those nasty conditions. And I do think the bye week isn't necessarily a good thing. The giants didn't look as sharp as they usually do.

Normally, I'd be empathetic, Trooper, but given that your Giants did in my Packers last year, it feels more like justice was done today.

Marshall Cooper would understand.

Trooper York said...

The Eagles beat us fair and square. They deserved to win because they beat us two out of three this year.

I want to give the Eagles their props Henry, but that doesn't mean I can't bust on them for the shit they do.

Welcome to the NFL.

Trooper York said...

I just wish we had more criminals on the Giants. We suspended our criminal and lost our big play reciever.

The greatest Giant who ever played was the biggest crack head who ever played in the league.

The truth is the truth.

DaLawGiver said...

Normally, I'd be empathetic

There is no empathy in football. If you lose, you suck, you just suck less the more you win. If you win the superbowl you don't suck until you get knocked out of the playoffs the next year.

Condolences, Troop.

DaLawGiver said...

Pacman Jones is available if you need another criminal and Vick will be getting out of the slammer soon so keep your hopes up.

Exactly right. I used every minute of the time we were champions and if the Eagles win their fans should do the same.

Of course they will do it a lot faster on the meth the coach will sell them, but there you go.

DaLawGiver said...

Condolences, Troop.

Cut that shit out, there aren't any condolences in football either. Trooper isn't a cry pussy who needs empathy or condolences.

Trooper York said...

No, I need criminals not tainted by the Cowboy ickiness.

That would be like dating a girl that used to go out with Pauly Shore.

EEEEWWWWW!!!!!!!

Trooper York said...

Thanks Lawgiver, I appreciate the sentiments but we had a good run as Champions and couldn't put it away. It was all there for the taking but we lost the eye of the tiger.

The turning point was when Antonio Piece got caught up in Plaxico's nonsense and got distracted. He lost focus and so did the team. That can happen.

Plus the Giants have never won back to back Superbowls. That is very hard to do.

Unless you cheat like the Patriots.

I'm sorry for your loss, Giants, but I have to say there was a whole bunch of hooting and woo-ing around here.

There's always next year.

reader_iam said...

I mean, "Giants fans" ... .

I'm Full of Soup said...

Cheer up Trooper. I was shocked the Eagles played so well. Even so I still hate Andy Reid.

On the bright side, your Yankees sure look like they stocked up in the off-season.

reader_iam said...

So, why do YOU hate Andy Reid, AJ? (This topic came up this afternoon IRL, so I'm curious.)

Asante Samuel said...

Anyone hating on Reid better not let me find them. Fat MF got me a shitload of dough, know what I'm saying? Be cool, AJ, Andy's my dog.

Trooper York said...

People who root for a team and really follow it often dislike the coach or the manager because they are a lot more familar with how they operate then someone who casually follows the team.

For example, everyone couldn't believe that Yankee fans are happy when Joe Torre left because they didn't watch Jeter and A-Rod get hit in the coconut every game with Saint Joe sitting on the bench like he was a fucking oil painting.

AJ must have his reasons.

Trooper York said...

And Asante good luck for the rest of the playoffs. I hope the Eagles win it all.

If you come up to New York and want to hit a club I will spot you a couple of drinks.

Oh, and bring your gat.

reader_iam said...

Hey, just to be clear: I'm not setting up AJ. I truly am interested in his reasons, and precisely because I know he has 'em.

(Please realize that the majority of our immediate families are major Philly team sports fans. My husband's stubborn adherence to the Chiefs is somewhat of an anomaly--though the Eagles are his second love, in football. My brother is truly an Eagles fanatic; I mean, sheesh, I've known him all his life, and the only thing that gets him going more than the Eagles is God Himself, and I'm not kidding here. Trumps music, even. Which on my side of the family, especially, is saying something.)

Trooper York said...

You should email him that Philly fan picture AJ sent me. It could be his screen saver.

reader_iam said...

Now, that's an interesting idea ... him, a certified Southern Baptist music minister.

(You wicked, wicked instigator you.

Still, crade Episcopalian that I am, will resist. I think.)

reader_iam said...

But I shall mention. In passing.

TitusTheBoyWithTheThornInHisSide said...

Sorry Troop. What happened to the Giants? They sucked today. Did they lose 4 of their last 5 games and was Plaxico missing from all of them? MMMMM.

I was glad for Andy Reid. I actually like him.

Also, Donovan's arms are absolutely delish. You know he has a big hog.

I would like to see a Philly Pittsburg Super Bowl. Has that ever happened?

Anyone but the Cardinals. I hate Warner.

Reader:

I am highly judgmental of public figures which probably damns me to hell. I just can't stand Reid for 5 years or so now. He acts like he is so smart and condescending yet he froze in the last 3 minutes of the Super Bowl he lost to the Patriots. He drafts lousy players and is just one arrogant person.

Plus I thought he should have stepped down when his two oldest sons were sent to prison for drug and weapons charges. What is more important to a multi-millionaire? His family or his job?

Like I said I am judgemental. It is the bestest spectator sport there is.
