Hey change the channel!

Now it's time to pick your favorite TV show. Of course you only get to pick from among my favorite TV shows. The choices:

Justified

Iron Chef

Mad Men

Modern Family

American Idol

There were a lot of great suggestions but we are limited to five. So pick away. (Sorry I didn't pick Pickers)

Iron chef? It has that guy who defiles kitchen counters AND that guy who hangs out with Gwyneth Paltrow.

I'm on El Pollo's side on this one.

Iron Chef! Everything else is fiction.

Well, I don't have a TV but I saw Modern Family in motel rooms a few times on recent trips. The show has a strange charm which is inexplicable when you break it down into McNeil's hysterical coochy coochy wife, the neutered husband and father of the youngish married with children family, and the poofster "family." Ed McNeil is the only normal in the whole crew and of course he has to stifle in order to be tolerated by all the now people. And yet the thing works. An incoherent show for an incoherent age -- but I liked it.

Or is that Ed O'Neill?

Justifed!

Raylan can come and do yard work for me ANYTIME.

Mad Men IS cool for looking at the clothes and retro decorations that are all making a sytlistic come back.

The Mad Men clothing is very deja vu for me. Uncomfortable clothing, uncomfortable furniture.

Christmas 1960 (I was 9 years old) Ahem.....check out the red hair.

The show is like a replay, except from my parent's viewpoint.

I like three of those a lot: Mad Men, Iron Chef and Modern Family. Modern Family's my current favorite right now, because I like the humor. It's gentle, and forgiving. Like families ought to be.

The kid, Manny, is hysterical.

DBQ, I hated those crinolines! My dresses always had the scratchy built-in ones.

Justified. Oliphant is the prettiest guy on TV these days. 'Sides, I still have family in Harlan.
