This freaking bullshit hurricaine is fucked up

The wife killed me today. We had to wrap up everything in the store and close up at three. Then I had to go and lay in supplies. So I made raviolis tonight with a nice basil sauce.

But worst of all I had to tie down all the yard furniture and put all the stuff in the shed and put everything against the wall and whole bunch of bullshit.

I don't like to do this shit. Fuckin Bloomberg.

FWIW, I read a description of the storm on the Snowflakes in Hell blog as it passed through the Philadelphia 'burbs - a lot of wind and rain, a wet basement, and that's about it.

No different than the one that went through about 20 years ago.

Stay dry.

My best to the Mrs.

PS Dinner sounds great.

The reason hurricanes do not go where you live is because you can't spell the word correctly.

Wait, that would mean that we get more of them because we can spell it correctly. Dang, I better work on the cause and effect thing a bit more. And logic. And plastic fucking reindeer, as long as I am going all Carol_Herman on you.

As you were. And batten down the hatches - it might rain or something. If you are lucky Monday will be as beautiful there as today is here in NC - no wind, plenty of sunshine, best day ever.

Not funny? My excuse is being homebound by this %$^&@ hurricane. The strange thing is that here in upstate NY about 240 miles from NYC it's fairly windy and rainy, even though the H is no big deal in the city.

Trooper, looks like you were right.

I kind of think all the drama is the bigger disaster.

The drama depends on where you live. Two of the M men are working in the midstate New York area where major flooding from the Catskills (south) and Adirondacks (north)has swamped the New York Thruway (closed now between Fultonville and Amsterdam) and caused evacuations in Scholharie County with concerns about the Gilboa dam, which provides water for NYCity.

Maybe not dramatic to Big City dwellers, but life affecting to those who live and work in the region.
