A surprisingly strong showing for Samuel Smiths Nutmeg Brown Ale. Original Mike and Hooiser Daddy should be proud as they led the charge for Bass, a worthy champion.
I think the problem with John Courage is that most people now only know it by it's real name:
John Courage Mellencamp.

I'm having a Bass right now.
I am having a black and tan that I poured myself. The wife won a Guiness jacket in a pint pouring contest on Friday.
The old girl still got it.
(don't tell her I called her an old girl cause she'll kick my ass)
I am such a novice. Bass is the only one of these I had tried, so I didn't think my vote would mean much.
I like the Bass though: Lots of flavor but still really crisp.
