"So do you come to this asteriod often?"
"Not really."
"Oh."
"So what school did you got to?"
"Star Fleet Academy. How about you?"
"Oh Aldephia. And then Turo for Law School."
"Oh you're a lawyer?"
"Yes I am."
"Well then I can't go out with you."
"That's ok. I have a date with this new guy named Shouting Thomas. He only dates non earth girls."
"Cool. Listen we have to split the check ok?"

Hahahaha!
What's a J-Date? Does ricpic know?
J-date is an dating service especially for Jewish people. A friend of ours is on it and she is telling us really funny stories about the guys she is meeting. These posts are for her.
I was going to ask that question, blake, but I was too embarrassed to expose my ignorance. And now you've gone and asked, making it worse. Californians!
Hey ricpic, I can get you the details. There some hot mommas out there with a lot of dough that want a guy like you with ten percent off. Just sayn'
Isn't "Preparation-HD" used for treating asteroids?
Chicklet wins the thread!
Shit, Trooper, I always split the check.
In fact, I try to get the girls to pay.
My Filipina mama cooks and delivers... food!
Trooper, as that the girl who turned into a little mechanical bug kind of alien at the end of the show?
I remember that Spock did a Vulcan mind meld on Kirk so that he could get over the girl.
"Forget.... forget..."
No...that's not from the -- 'k, it's been a while here but...
The mechanical-ish alien bug was from "Catspaw".
The picture is of...Angelique Pettyjohn, one of the tragic women of "Star Trek". The episode is "Gamester's of Triskelion". She ends up in hardcore, I think even appearing with one of TY's house favorites, Kay Parker.
The "...forget...", on the other hand, is from ... "City on the Edge of Forever", the Harlan Ellison penned episode with Joan Collins.
Funny thing? Never did like that show. (But my mom did.)
Harlan Ellison did write the original script for CotEoF, but what he wrote bears very little resemblance to what was filmed. I liked that epi - probably one of the best of the original series.
I like Harlan Ellison but I'm inclined to view him more as a whiny little bitch than the angry young man of fame.
Someone did make a comic book of his script, however.
I probably read some of his work 40 years ago, but it didn't stick with me the way Heinlein's writing did.
