It sounds like a George Pelecanos Novel

So by now I am sure you have heard of the arrest of Daron Dylon Wint. He is accused of mudering Savvas Savopolous, his wife Amy, their son Philip and the housekeeper Veralicia Figueroa.

This could be the plot of a George Pelecanos novel. He is the great crime novelist who bases his stories in the Washington/Baltimore/ Virgina area. But basically Washington DC. It often has a Greek character since he is of course Greek and he writes about what he knows. How the Greek subculture of diners and cash businesses interacts with the basically black clientèle in a black city like DC. His novels really give you a feel of what the gritty streets of DC are really like and what it feels like being a white guy in a black city.

Pelecanos also wrote several of the best episodes of the Wire which is the best crime drama ever put on television.  He is the Elmore Leonard of his generation. I can not think of higher praise.

This crime sounds like an inside job. The victims might have been sketchy. Certainly the fact that his employee left a bunch of cash on his doorstep indicates that is not the first time something like this has happened in his employ.

The suspect is the kind of guy that Obama and all of the liberals are complaining about. He is the kind of black guy that has been incarcerated and who they want to set free. They want to make it a crime if you ask if this guy was ever in jail. As a felon they want to give him back all of his rights including voting. He is the poster boy for the "Black Lives Matter" campaign.

Sometimes life is just like fiction.
