Stacy's shoes?

For some reason women are obsessed with shoes.

Schadenfreude would say that women love shoes because they can penetrate them and feel enveloped by them--this fulfills a craving they otherwise lack.

Cripes, chickelit, I don't know what gets your electrons excited and moving, but whatever it is, its powerful stuff. I thought the bunch of pink Big Birds standing on one leg was good, but this takes the cake.

The fit is everything, snug but not too tight.

@MamaM: [cont'd from yesterday]

Younger women take the theory even further with their focus on different types of shoes for different moods. Men generally lack such a shoe promiscuity, showing a need for far fewer archetypes: oxfords, sneakers, flipflops, etc.

Jung or not, chickelit, this is the first I've considered der schatten side of such shoenanigans.

Men do seem more inclined to buff whatever they have.

Well, sure, MamaM. Almost all men are heels.

"They'll gladly be loafers, too, if they find a woman willing to support them," he said archly.

@DBQ...Shanks for the memory!

@ChipS...When out vamped, I tend to become tongue tied and retreat to the drawing room. Though familiar with heels and soles, I wasn't expecting breasts, throats and waists.

I like the smell of Kiwi oxblood shoe polish. Why? My dad had a shoe polishing kit, and could weekly be counted on to polish our school shoes while we slept and leave them outside our bedroom doors for us to find the next morning. Love wears many faces. Then again, so does obsession.
