Back in the Day you could say Merry Christmas.

I taped all of the Christmas episodes that recently aired on METV. Doris Day. Adam12. Emergency. Gunsmoke. Bonanza. I Love Lucy. The Odd Couple. The Honeymooners.

You know what was odd? They could all say Merry Christmas. In fact in the "Doris Day Show" she turned to the camera and wished everyone a  Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

If she did that today she would be suspended. Or fired. No matter how popular she was or how good the ratings.

America has really lost it's way.

I'm noticing more people just this year saying, "Merry Christmas."

It is a political statement.

It is a shame that you would notice it if you know what I mean.

Which Adam 12 ep? I think I liked the yellow dump truck one the best. But the one where they tied the tree to the unit was pretty god.

But you can listen to a gaggle of queens discuss stuff like this...

You're right, You can't go home again.

I know what you mean. But, one of my assets and curses is I notice everything. I noticed, a decade or more ago a steady uptick in "HOLIDAYS" and this year it seems the tide may have turned. It's a shame PC influences so much in our life. But, you can mope about it or just make sure you keep saying "Christmas" and take a bit of joy when you start seeing a trend upward. That's what I do. Life is a journey and a struggle. That was God's intent. So, you can choose to enjoy the journey and struggle or resent it. I always pick the former. I'm not saying I don't mope, get pissed, resent. I'm human. But, I kick myself in the ass or get someone to slap me upside the head or caress me, as needed, and marvel @ that glass half full.

LOL, Nick.

I said the other day in a conversation...some people think the glass is half empty some people think it's half full .

I don't care either way--I'm pretty sure it's been poisoned.

Its gotten absurd. Years ago my local library changed the label on all the "Christmas CD's" to "Holiday CDs".

So if you look up "Christmas Music" in the Library catalog you get nothing.

Schools of course, have "winter break" if they call it "Christmas Break" they get threatened with a law suit.

I wish Merry Christmas to everyone now a days. Someone has to do it.

But I also remember the Jewish holidays because I like Jewish food and hope to get invited to have some.

Muslim holidays...meh. Jews make better Baclava than most Arabs. Sicilians took the best of North Africa and made it even better.
