The license plate reads 47 in Roman Numerals--probably some dumb Boomer's birth year. But did you know (from the Wiki):

Forty-seven is the fifteenth prime number, a safe prime, the thirteenth supersingular prime, and the sixth Lucas prime. Forty-seven is a highly cototient number. It is an Eisenstein prime with no imaginary part and real part of the form .
It is a Lucas number. Because its digits appear as successive terms earlier in the series of Lucas numbers: 2, 1, 3, 4, 7, 11, 18, 29, 47… ; it is also a Keith number.
Forty-seven is a strictly non-palindromic number.
Its representation in binary being 00101111, 47 is a prime Thabit number, and as such is related to the pair of amicable numbers {17296, 18416}.
Forty-seven is a Carol number. It is a real prime number.

I'm still unclear on what an Adele is.

Though I think I heard her sing once and she reminded me of Lynne Ahrens.

I've given the thumbs down to Adele often enough on Pandora, it stopped trying to make me listen to her.

Adele has the best voice since Aretha.

Adele is a great young soul singer from England who won every award this year.

She is plus sized and two years ago we dressed her for Saturday Night Live although we didn't get any credit for it.

She is the person we would most want to be the spokeperson for our line. Just sayn'

If you like monotonous whining.

If we liked monotonous whining we would be over at TOP.

According to Titus, those who do Macs do not get dumped by Adele.

Excuse me but Alanis Morrisette is the queen of monotonous whining. Joni Mitchell, thew queen of Gregorian Chant whining.

When I was a freshmanm in hs our nun made us perform an entire play in Gregorian Chant. It stained my soul.

MamaM--thanks for the visit yesterday.

And I've got friends who are better singers than Adele.

I'm with you Nick, Adele's voice is rich, full and sexy as all hell. Her choice of music is outstanding. If I was a guy I would be in love with her. What dumbass would dump her?

She's singing all the way to the bank.

So far it's me, Trooper, and Nick for. DBQ Chip, and Sixty against, anybody else want in?

Chip S. said...

You mean she's a fat cat exploiter of the 99 percent?

When, exactly, is it ok to be rich and successful, Allie? I'd like to know for future reference.

Chip S. said...

That reads nastier than I wrote it.

She has soft curves but her voice is hard felt.

It's ALWAYS Ok to be rich and succesful, why would you ask me such a question, because I'm a liberal?

Anonymous said...

Successful, that is, lest the spellchecker feel energized today.

Chip S. said...

Allie, at TY you're not merely a liberal; you're the liberal.

I just wondered where the point was at which somebody's made enough money. And whether it mattered whether they did it by warbling on tv or by running large businesses.

Good to know you approve of Koch, tho.

Chip, I guess I am the only commenting liberal here. I probably am not the best representative of what a liberal is. I have many friends that make a good amount of money.

My daughter and son in law most definitely are rich and succesful. have you heard of Quad Graphics? Owned by the Quadracchi family here in Waukesha County? They are billionaires and are Democrats. They're friends of my daughter and son on law, who are conseratives, well fiscal, social liberals.

I don't approve of the way my son in law made his money (manufacturer of goods in China) yet am grateful that he did, because my daughter and grandchildren live a secure and happy life. I know I've discussed this before here. Some rich folks have more scruples than others, same goes for poor folks and the middle class.

The Kochs have done some good with their money, so have many billionaires. I do have qualms about ALEC and the buying of legislation by corporations, I actually think Citizens United evened up the playing field and it may turn out to be a good thing.

I'm not so different than you all, except maybe with social issues. Which has always been far more the focus of my interest.

Trooper York said...

Ask A-Rod how much is enough money when you don't get the fuckin' job done. Just sayn'

Anonymous said...

So just how much money does A-Rod have?

Trooper York said...

A LOT MORE THAN HE SHOULD THAT FUCKING WEASEL!!!!!!!!!

Trooper York said...

Sorry for yelling.

I was out all day shoe shopping with the wife and it is hard to sit and type with my balls twisted the way they are.

The nutsack will be fine in a short time.

ARod's contract will keep hurtin' him for the rest of the decade.

but her voice is hard felt.

Like a pool table?

The Dude said...

I have heard of Adele, not listened to her. The strongest opinion I can muster about singers these days is indifference.

Can she sing the Queen of the Night arias from Mozart's Magic Flute? No? In that case, I will actively avoid her.

chickelit said...

Like a pool table?

You snookered me.

ricpic said...

Google Judy Garland at Carnegie Hall and then tell me about singers. And you don't have to be light in the loafers to 'preciate her. Right, Titus? Titus will probably answer that was before his time. Typical provincial queer.

blake said...

You can listen to Judy at Carnegie.

And then you can listen to Rufus DO Judy at Carnegie.

NTTAWT

Trooper York said...

Wait a minute?

Ricpic is a friend of Dorothy?

No wonder he gets along so well with Titus.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.
