Leisure Suit Larry Strikes Again

I don't know if you have been following the post about the bakers who lost the case about the gay wedding cake on Lem's site. It was an interesting discussion until Leisure Suit Larry slithered onto the scene.

He proceeded to do his usual act. Insulting people. Demanding apologies. Lying. Threatening. Treating Father Fox with an unbelievable lack of respect. The respect due a human let alone a man of the cloth.

Lem was kind enough to shut it down after it took a particularly disgusting turn and deleted a few really bad comments by Lawnboy. I thank him for that.

I think Michael Haz had it right. It is time to disassociate ourselves totally from TOP and the evil duo. They are obviously flailing about trying to drum up blog hits. Lawnboy even stooped to a direct link which is right out of his pet Bubbles bag of tricks. I will not addresss him directly regardless of the nasty stuff he spews about me. I suggest we all do the same. I also hope that those of you who are administrators will simply delete Larry out of hand. As he does at his wife's blog. Most of us left there never to return. It is simply not right to let him follow us to Lem's to start the same crap.

It has been almost a year. Can't we be shut of these shits already?

Just one.

Of course, it's got a pint of gin in it.

I continue to think the change we have here is that I haven't had time to be creative enough to get everyone's juices flowing. I have been busy doing a lot of other stuff. I also have to confess that I have been enjoying posting at "previously, TV" which seems to be the successor to Television Without Pity. They seem to be a lot more free form and they don't ban you so quickly. So I have been dropping comments there and enjoying the heck out of it.

I sincerely hope that none of you drop out because of something I did. If you feel that way please email me and let me try to fix it.

You are all valued here.

Even you Spinelli.

Y'know, that dude at your link kinda looks like Allen S.

Has Allen S been in Florida lately?

There is no one here who was more concerned about Trooper during his health crisis than Sixty. He has a good heart, metaphorically anyway. He has been very kind and generous to my bride. For a dago, that is golden. Give the man some time. We all need time alone.

We all need time alone. True, that. Especially those with an artistic bent. We also all need to realize worth, have purpose and feel safe. Basic human needs. Sixty's fine sense of humor is proof of his heart. That's my test, anyway.

Thank you to all for your good words. Darcy, I'm grateful for the the weathering and welcome, with much good experienced as a result. While there much I would like to say in response to all that's gone on, from Windbag's awareness to Chip S's epitaph, I'm traveling with the Mr M today and will need to comment more later.

For Trooper York's consideration, the balance between a blog being about the writer's creativity or the commenter's contributions and sense of community is a hard one to find. As was proved true by Althouse, both matter.

I have faced Sixty's spleen and I still like him.

I agree MamaM. But I think if I am more creative and give people more to talk about that fosters interaction and comments.

Otherwise you could just put up a photo and people would comment.

I will try to do better.
