Hey did you see Idol last night? Both Chris and Adam were very original. Simon was obviously throwing Lil under the bus as she sounded like crap. Now Allison was pretty good but I think she might be in trouble even though they praised her to the sky. Anoop needs to go back to Duke as soon as possible. And Matt was just ludicrous as he tried to Timberlake it and failed miserably.
Oh and Danny has a dead wife.
Off last night it is shaping up as a contest between Adam and Chris. Chris did a great "Santana" arrangement of "She Works Hard for the Money" which was just as original as anything that Adam has done so far. Adam just slowed down the song but cleaned himself up for another change of pace and I think the little girls love him. My cousin loves him even though she realizes he is as gay as the day is long. But the little girls love the gay. But Adam was a little worried about Chris so he decided to pull out all stops. Next week is bluegrass week so he is going to play the banjo in a bathtub while a toothless goober pours gin over him. Here is a rehearsal photo.
Which lets me take care of two franchises at one time. Gratuitous bathtub photos and American Idol.

Please, let's have Danny go home tonight in a shocker (NOT!). EVERY SONG he sings is arranged EXACTLY the same way and it gets on my last nerve. Plus that STUPID heart thing he did with his hands. Ugh Ugh Ugh.
Anoop could go too -- he just oozes Frat Boy and I'm tired of it. He has a nice enough voice, but there's no originality in his stuff.
Shrill Lil can go as well. Can't they surprise us and eliminate three?
I really liked Kris last night -- that sing from the side of the mouth thing is very interesting, and even though I absolutely LOVE Donna Summer's version of that song, he did a nice original twist on it. Adam was good too, but it seems like he either is Calm and reflective like this week, or hyperkinetic like last. Is there no in between? He does have great pitch control, but so does Kris. Everyone does (except Lil). I know that 'cause that idiotic judge (Randy, to be clear) kept saying that the singers can sing.
PurpleHair Rocker Chick was good last night too, although I think she shoulda kept Hot Stuff all slow. Matt did okay -- better than Danny, Anoop and Lil -- but I think he's still in danger of leaving just because of overall annoyance factor he emanates.
Anoop and Lil will be sent home tonight.
