Marilyn Chambers passed away today at the age of 56. A old school star from the 1970's she made many great films. My favorite was "Insatiable" a classic which still gets you up...I mean holds up today. May God have mercy on her soul.

I always get her confused with Linda Lovelace. But Linda later claimed she did what she did under duress while Marilyn was gung-ho to the end...I think.
She was gung ho at both ends. So to speak.
She hooked up with Chuck Tranor I think who was Linda Lovelaces pimp and the guy she described as the one who turned her out and forced her to do porno. He was the classic seventies porno guy and the basis for the Burt Reynolds character in "Boogie Nights."

Talk about spitting on someone who worked in the trenches to establish the ground on which you can scatter whatever you want to say, however you want to say it (camel toes and oh-so-coy other things, etc.)--and cost-free, so far as I can tell. Unlike what she had to pay.

I remember a story I read about her where basically Jack Nicholson and Art Garfunkel were offering her a part if she'd sleep with them, and she thought porn would be more honest work.

It certainly flies in the face of her public persona. She's the woman modeling on the soap box, turned porn-actress, and they called her "99 and 44/100% pure." She also ran for vice-president.

I am not mocking Marilyn Chambers. I respect her for the honest artist that she was.Anybody who grew up in the 1970's has a lot of affection and respect for her talents. She was honest with herself and her audience. Even though she had sex on film for money, she was not a whore.
Now journalist, they are whores.
Yesterday I went to a different gym as I hate going to the same gym all the time and seeing the same people. I just got a day pass.
I don't shower in any of the gyms I go to because I don't want to deal with the distraction of jerky jerky in the steam room.
So I get a day pass at this gym yesterday and there is this kid there. Probably about 18-19. He as a blatino and had corn rows. He was just walking around the locker room nude. He had a huge hog and was just walking around so everyone could see it. It was kind of hot but I can't waste my time at the gym on that shit. I need to focus on my workout.

I saw Ms. Chambers in only one film--a non-x rated spy movie. She was pretty good.
I think it is entirely possible that she could have made it in mainstream movies, but her porn fame may have scared people off.
