The Man Who Shot Joe Paterno

Dutton Peabody: Joe Paterno defeated. D-E-F-E-E... T-E-D? The unsteady hand betrays. What's the matter, Mr. Peabody? Are you afraid? The answer is indub... yes. No courage left. Well, courage can be purchased at yon tavern. But have we credit? That is the question. Have we credit? Well, credit is cheap. Wait for me, old servant of the public wheel. Our shining hour is yet to come. As for you, Horace Greeley, go west, old man, and grow young with the country
Ransome Stoddard:But how is he defeated? He still has his job. He is not in jail. He won't even show up at a press conferance to answer questions.
Tom Doniphon: I know those law books mean alot to you, but not out here. Out here a man settles his own problems.
Link Appleyard: As long as he behaves himself in this town, I ain't got no, ah...
Ransom Stoddard: Jurisdiction.
Link Appleyard: What he said is right. I ain't got none of it
Dutton Peobody: Yes that is what America has come to in this day and age. I need a drink.

Jesus, Troop, I know book learnin' wasn't Duke Wayne's or Tom Doniphon's strong suit, but neither one of them was so dimwitted as to use the non-word "alot". That's painful.

Sixty I lifted that verbatim from the quotes at INDB for Valance. Put it on them what can I tell you.

Not to say I wouldn't do it but they transcribed it that way. Go figure.

Yeah, but I'll bet it was "IMDb", not what you wrote.

On the internet "alot" is a word. People use it, dare I say, frequently.

When "good" men stand by and let their adult friends screw boys in the Penn State showers...well maybe they aren't so good.

Nobody loves Edmund O'Brien like me. All you whippersnappers can't even appreciate let alone understand the job he did as the old stewbum in The Wild Bunch. You've gotta be on the other side lookin' in and not even want to get back in, heck not even consider getting back in cause it's out of the question and don't you know it. In other words the cackle is NOT an affectation that cackle IS the old man. Ah yes, you may think I'm channeling CH and you may be right a ha ha ha ha ha ha...
