The party was a smashing success

The birthday party was a big success. We had about 30 people and took over the back room at Pane E Vino on Smith St. Our little elf cousin was in charge of the decorations and did a great job. We had red tablecloths with gold chargers and gold candleabrras with crystals that she spray painted gold to have the look that my wife loves.

The food was great. We started with shrimps and potato croquets and chicken skewers passed with the opening cocktail hour. Then we sat down for an arugla salad with shaved Reggiano cheese and cherry tomato. Then three appetizers served family style....a polenta cake smothered in a mushroom medly with truffle oil....gorganzola gnocchi....and pasta prima vera. Then they served the main course which was filet mignon, chicken with aspargus and sun dried tomato and seafood risoto. Everything was served family style so you could have as much or as little as you wanted of one thing or all three. Everyone ate to their hearts content.

Then the wife and her friends got on the dancefloor. She had worked all night to download a dance list that she had on an Ipod so it was an eighties dance night fever! Everyone got up and danced but those 50year old broads just wouldn't spot. Of course they were all drunk of their face which is great.

Then the cannoli cream cake came out which was made by the bakery across the street from the store. It was delicious. And the best part is that we only ate about half of it and I have been having it for breakfast every day this week! Whose better than me?

Happy birthday to my sweetie.

Of course this is her birthday month so the extraganze continues!

Great.

Now I'm hungry.

And I can't fly to New York because I'm against being randomly groped.

You guys must have Polish blood to party non-stop like that.

Why do east coast people pluralize the word shrimp?

There is a commercial where a woman says she is a value seeking missile. I get horny when watching it.

The menu sounds amazing and family style!

I had homemade gnocchi at Stella, a fab restaurant, in the South End.

Glad you guys had fun.

And you don't deserve a swell broad (I say that in the best sense of the word, of course) like Mrs Troop.

You big city folks eat so well. We'uns out here in Cali-forni have to get by with stale sushi and Carl's Junior.

'course I'm just here in Northern California - at the moment. I'm sure Blake down in SoCal is eating some fancy Beverly Hills caviar.

That's Beverly Hills fish eggs to us regular folk.

No, tragically, I'm not part of the 1%. So I stand outside Beverly Hills (literally, in fact) and watch them eat their caviar without me (metaphorically speaking).
