They love to hate Tim

It has been pretty amazing to listen to the sports station about this messed up Tim Tebow trade. It seems that if someone is  a witness to their faith and lives it out in their everyday life it is a license for people to attack them. The things they say about him are a lot worse than what people were saying about Michael Vick the dog murderer.

I found that being a practicing Christian is not a good thing to a lot of people. I was discriminated against and forced to go against my religious practices and it was made very difficult to attend services without a big fight when dealing with the Hollywood secularist crowd. I was not able to do what I wanted to do and I will regret to my dying day that I didn't fight harder against them. I acquiesced out of greed and ambition. I can only admire somebody like Tebow who provides a witness and is not afraid of the consequences. One of which is getting traded.

I hope he goes somewhere other than the Jets.

Does Tebow only date models?

Looks like Tebow will be playing for the most profane, abusive coach in the NFL. This will test his faith, patience and sanity.

I'll bet Tebow isn't as witty as me. Well, on a good day for me anyway. And yet look at what he's got his arm around. LIFE'S NOT FAIR! On the other hand think of all the inane chatter he has to put up with to get to the good part. Confucius say: I got nothin', that's why I became Confucius.

That was his old girlfriend.

The rumor now is that he is dating the cheerleader chick from Glee.

And not the one I would have picked (The hot Spanish lesbian one)

I'm a fan of Tebow. It started partly because I enjoyed the heads exploding over his improbable success, but gained steam when I watched him play and even more admiration came when I learned how he devotes much of his time to sick kids.

You're so right, Trooper. This is a guy who isn't imposing anything on anyone with regard to his beliefs. He simply believes and he loves to witness that belief. For that, he is called "polarizing". A real head-scratcher, there.

Go Tebow! I'll root for him wherever he goes.

Darcy, I concur..Tebow seems to be the real deal. I fear NYC will eat him up.

He's hot.

You know he is packing a huge hog.

Troop, some day you should forgive yourself. Today would be a good day. God has already forgiven you.

Live and learn and fight another battle another day. There are plenty of burdens to bear, let that not be one of them.

I would be happy just seeing him beat his meat.

No touching or anything.

Just a little voyeur action on the dl.

I am discreet.

Wow, that's a hell of a confession, Troop, and I admire that you put it here.

I'd say it won't happen again, but I do it way too much myself: I underestimate the resistance I'm going to encounter on some path, then I end up going with the flow instead of fighting it out. Plus, balancing being principled versus just being an asshole can be tricky (for me, apparently).

It's a small thing, but I was proud when I went to court last time. It was for a red-light camera thing--not me in the picture.

Everyone's--all of us forced to come to court over these pictures of not us--saying "Oh, no, I don't know who that is." And this HUGE lie is followed by the judge's lie "Well, we'll send it back to the computer room and find the real perp."

So, there was my out. I could just lie, and the judge would lie right after me to intimidate everyone else. And I knew also that any deviation from the script could cause me trouble. (I've heard all kinds of horror stories.)

When my time came and he asked me about it, I just said, "I'm not going to testify." And the judge said, "You can't invoke your 5th Amendment Rights here, you're not testifying against yourself."

I said, "I'm not invoking my 5th Amendment rights. I'm just following the instructions on the tape played at the beginning of this session, which said I don't have to testify, so I'm not testifying."

So, 30 days later, I'm outta jail and feeling fine!

I'm following the Tebow thing with interest. There are facts: Styles of quarterbacking, his relative inexperience, etc. Sports boffins (get me, I'm a limey) debate this stuff passionately all the time.

But there seems to be an extra tilt to things based on (essentially) politics. While everyone denies that.

I agree with Darcy. The Tebow hate seems to come from mindless idiots (many of whom are sportswriters) who think that by mocking Tebow they're establishing their street cred as sophisticates.

If Tebow does go to NY, he could get some really good press coverage by buying a few rounds at Toots Shor's. It obviously worked for that dago who was married to Marilyn Monroe for a week or so. He went from "greatest living player" to "Kris Humphries' role model" once he stopped buyin'.

Trooper and Darcy - Well said! I wholeheartedly agree. And thank you!

It's beginning to sound like Tebow isn't going to be a Jet after all. Wherever he plays, he'll bring a lot of heart to the team.

The women has a massive set of tits in that picture.

I would not mind worshiping that rack if you know what I mean and I think you do.

Wooo.

Put your hands over your eyes. Jump out of the plane.
There is no pilot. You are not alone. Standby.
This is the time. And this is the record of the time.
This is the time. And this is the record of the time.

Tebow should be used as a full back and as a back up QB. Sanchez is weak. So if he goes to the Jets and helps them beat NE, so be it. I think they got a bargain in Tebow.

Evi L. Bloggerlady said...

Troop, I am sure you are okay with God. You can forgive yourself.

Titus, what are you talking about? What pilot, what plane? What time? Why?

The Dude said...

"Did you jump?"

"Yes, a little, at first."

That's what he is referring to.

chickelit said...

I think Titus is quoting Annie Laurie Gaylor.

Well if Annie wants to jump out of the plane without a parachute more power to her, I reserve the right to believe in parachutes and the afterlife.

Titus ate the brown acid.

Titus said...

I was quoting Laurie Anderson.

love her.

tits.

There had to be pre marital sex with the woman with the large tits. There is no way those things just sat there during the relationship.

I prefer Laura San Giacomo.
