We make plans and God laughs

So what are the two things I hate most in life?

Skinny pretentious cunts and French People.

So naturally the wife decides we have to open a lingerie store in our back space. It is going to have a French theme and lingerie for all sizes including the skinny twats. When we were at the Curve show we bought a bunch of stuff that we have to get ready. I am going to do renovations on the back store. New iron gate that you can see through at night. New shelving and painting and wallpapering. A new dressing room in the back store. Tons of shit we have to do.

It never ends.

It's great and all but a hell of a lot of work. I just want to sit on the porch and listen to the ball game and work on my writing. But I have too much to do.

How do you do a tasteful "French Theme" without doing the "French Quarter" at Disneyland?

Will you be going for Pigalle, Champs-Élysées, or Montmarte?

And don't say "Left Bank" or else Sixty will up and quit.

May I suggest that you festoon the walls with catchy French exclamations like "Ooh-la-la!" "Mais oui!" or perhaps even some bilingual puns like "Zut allures!"

Of course Troop should man the new lingerie department, affecting a Maurice Chevalier accent and leering manners.

Really slow night at Troop's brasserie.

Le Rive Gauche is the right bank for me.

I stayed in a hotel in the 6th arrondissement in the Saint-Germain-des-Prés quartier. It is very nice and is also on the Rive Gauche, or Left Bank.

It's just communists I despise. Paris is lovely and the women were very stylish.

"Phx" sounds French for "fucks" to my ear. But what do I know? I once asked innocently enough if it stood for Phoenix but he damn near took my head off, IIRC.

Oh and Troop, don't you often wear a beret and scarf in the winter, just like Corporal LaBeau?

Trooper is more Sgt. Schultzy.

Sorry I was busy and couldn't post much. More tomorrow.

That's OK troop. I'm used to being ignored. That's how I've gone through life.

It sounds like a lot of work to me. Good thing you have help setting the pace. Projects involving shared vision can be invigorating but they aren't the same as personal time spent doing something creative or expressive. When that valve gets tightened by too much heavy duty work, the gas or water or whatever creative juice wants to flow has to find another outlet. Stay balanced, my friend. The part that enjoys writing needs to be taken care of along with the walls.

I know you are always interested but I don't think other people here care that much about me or my user name, cl.

Your constantly calling me "Fucks" or some other bullshit is a key reason why we can't be friends. Stop being petty. Grow up.

I yield the floor to you, Sir (or Madam). I need a break from here anyway.

I don't want you to "yield the floor." I want you to communicate with me like a man, not a child.
