Kaiser Roll
Jelly Roll
Cinnamon Roll
Hamburger Roll
Esther Rolle
Now your Kaiser roll is the perfect role for a roll with butter and coffee. Great for a tuna fish sandwich with mayo, lettuce and tomato. Or for two eggs bacon and cheese for breakfast. The all purpose roll.
The jelly roll is usually raspberry and a very tasty pastry. It can also mean something else that is very tasty but I will leave that for you perverts to figure out.
The Cinnamon roll is a breakfast treat and one I often get at the coffee cart before I get on the train. Great with coffee in the morning.
The hamburger roll is one of the joys of eating a burger. Nothing is worse that a soggy or stale roll when you get your burger at the diner. Toasted on the BBQ is always the best.
And of course Ester Rolle. Formerly a domestic she got her own show with her family. With the babelicious Thelma, future radical preacher Michael and JJ Dy-o-mite Walker. One of my favorite Rolle's of all time.
So which one is the best Roll?

Putting my vote in for cinammon roll.
I once wrote a pilot for Esther Rolle.
Yes! An early lead too! Now that the polling seems honest, there's even hope.
I just hope I didn't dissapoint Darcy. I know she was pulling for the breast poll. Or kneading. Or something like that there.
Hmm....another poll of things I never eat.
Although, back before I got on the roots and berries wagon, cinnamon rolls were always one of my favorites. Very tasty.
Yeah, I can get behind those cinnamon rolls.
And what of these rumors I keep hearing about past poll manipulation?

Oh, the evidence is all there in the archives-even some outright admissions IRC. I think they know who they are.
I don't own a dog.
LOL. That was all a ruse to get you to skip the breast poll. Thanks! ;-)
Oh, I don't eat any of it either, but I still have a preference.

Me neither. cave canem
Barrel roll. Did my first one at age 17. A high school classmate planned on becoming an aeronautical engineer and Navy pilot. His father paid for the cost of ground and flight school as a graduation present.
After he was licensed our deal was that we'd split the cost of a couple of hours of rental time on a Cessna. He'd do the takeoff, communications and landing, and when we were out in the country, I'd fly it. Kids, whadda ya going to do? He got to book air hours at a reduced cost, I got to be a pilot.
Anyhow, he'd been reading up on aerobatic flying and wanted to try a barrel roll. We did. Dumbasses that we were, we didn't think about whether a high-hour rental Cessna was actually approved for aerobatic maneuvers. It wasn't, but it held together. Strong airplanes, Cessnas. Jeeps with wings.
Shortly after my first barrel roll I did my first mid-air cookie toss.
He earned an AE degree, became a Navy pilot and flew jets off of carriers until he dropped an F14 into the water on approach. Mechanical failure. He's now a left seater for American Airlines, flying a Dallas - Frankfort - Dallas route.
Alright, I diverted a bit on the way to an answer, as usual.
Egg roll.
Cool story, Michael H!
(And as a mom, I'm delivering a virtual smack to the back of the head, belatedly! It's my duty.)
Ow! What? :)
Divum est cado! Divum est cado!

Back on topic: Has anyone ever eaten a jelly roll?
And why are they always raspberry filled?

If Morton were alive, he might get excited and say they could be filled with jazz.
A jelly roll isn't a roll, it's a jelly filled cake that's been rolled up.
The other rolls on the list are made of a yeast dough (probably excluding Ester, but I'm not her doctor), and the jelly roll is made of cake dough.
So while Darcy and I and probably a couple of other mokes have vowed to stop rigging the poll, you've gone and rigged it by including the trojan cake.
Pretty soon, we're gonna need Jimmuh Carter in here to monitor the polling and certify the results.
Just don't add peanut butter cookies or something.
Divum est cado! Divum est cado!
The diving is actually better on the western side.
Carpe altilis.
si, el pollo loco ;)
Hey, nice bit of sleuthing there, Michael H! I vowed? *gulp* :)
I'm going for the cinnamon roll. And thanks a lot for the extra exercise I'll have to do for it!
The kaiser roll, Trooper? Have you picked a winner yet? :P
And el pollo loco? I like it! Hee.
Darcy,
You do know it's the name of another SoCal fast food chain?
Should I get an avatar change operation, to more closely match my name?
I trust you, that's all I'm sayin', Darcy.
That 'don't trust strangers' childhood thing never really sunk in. I am sooo gullible.
Ha! I didn't know, chickenlittle. It's still cute.
And aww, Michael H. You and me both, and I wouldn't want it any other way.
I'll try to persuade, of course, but I'll only vote once. :)
