Hey, my whole family is heading back to the Big Cheezy in a couple of days. We're gonna act like just like the Griswolds in European Vacation too: I'm getting the whole family cheesehead hats as soon as we cross the border for when we walk around Madison--we don't want to look like some silly California tourists.
Me Look kids, those are world famous Wisconsin dairy cows! Kids We know dad, we can smell their dairy-air!
Chickelittle, if you don't want to look like tourists while in Madison, then make sure your kids are tattooed, ungroomed and ill-mannered. They'll look like typcal Madison kids that way, especially the ones who hang out in the State Street area.
And you and Mrs. Little need to go paleo-hippie, with bad haircuts, a ponytail on you, especially if you are balding, and at least one of you should wear a Greatful Dead tee shirt. And Mrs. Little will need to ditch the razor for a while.
...and at least one of you should wear a Greatful Dead tee shirt.
Michael, hee hee. My son had one of these that he got during our last visit 2 years ago. He wore it out and is looking forward to getting a new one. I'll be sporting one of these.
Will do Ruth Anne, thanks! Might even tour a cheese factory! And of course the Capital Brewery tour is a must. I hope it's still in the old Mazo Egg building.
I grew up in Maryland. Unitas was a demi-god there. I never heard of him until a weird kid moved into the neighborhood - he was a city slicker and Colts fan. I never paid attention to the Colts, never ate at Ginos or Ameches. Drove by them, but didn't stop. Wish I could have gone to a Redskins game, but didn't know anyone with tickets.
I was a baseball fan - football - meh. Our school didn't even have a football team. Principal thought it too violent. Modelled himself after Dr. Phillip Davidson at Louisville. And that's the way it was...
I hate Sarah Jessica Parker, Robin Williams, Tim Robbins, Susan Saradon, the BJ Hunnicut guy, brussel sprouts, the Boston Red Sox, commies and well, lawyers.

Now that's a haircut you can set your watch to.

Y.A.Tittle got it done with zero showboating.
Gone are the days.
Right up until he didn't.
Never heard of "The Big Cheezy"... it's at the opposite end of the Mississippi R. from the Big Easy, so that's fitting.
Live free or die? No. Eat cheese or die.
Eat some curds for me, Dude.
I could've sworn the picture was of Bart Starr.
You are correct, Ruth Anne. That is Bart Starr, one of the most decent human beings to walk this earth. And a quarterback like none other.

My mistake. But didn't they all look uncannily alike? Bart Starr; Y.A. Tittle; Johnny Unitas.
Chickelit, how about this for a snappy tee shirt for casual (or formal) wear in Madison?
@Michael I've already got one of those but in commie red. I get lots of thumbs up out here in the red county of San Diego.
Thanks for reminding me-it's going in the suitcase tonight. :)
Wasn't YA bald? I remember him being bald.
That famous picture of number 14 kneeling, bloody, at the end of a game is the image I keep in memory of him.
Yelberton Abraham Tittle - yep, Y. A. is better.

Hey at least he didn't model himself after Rick Pitino at Louieville.
Then he would have to pay for all the girls abortions.
