Our toy drive was a great success!
We had a toy drive the last few weeks and collect a lot of stuff for a poor parish in Bed Stuy. We called it "It's a Wonderful Valise" and a bunch of our customers brought in toys. We brought them over to the church last week and the people from St. Johns picked them up. Thanks to all who participated.

I think I'd look particularly fetching in that purple job with the wing collar...well, I mean...it's all about pushing the envelope isn't it?...isn't it?...hello...HALLO?!
You are a mooovalous man. Good work, even if you get cranky at the holidays.
We always have a Toys for Tots drive in our place. One year someone donated a live .22 cartridge. Makes you proud to be an American.
Well some of us think of the less fortunate than us and try to make their Christmas a little better by collecting toys or donating to the Salvation Army or working with our Church soup kitchens.
And some of us want people to buy things in our Amazon portal so we can make money to support a blog that costs nothing to produce since it is free.
Well except for the new comment moderator who has to moniter everyones blogs and who has to edit and police the free blog that cost so much to produce.
That might cost a few dollars.
Who do you think is really working in the Spirit of the Little Baby Jesus?
But don't ask one of those Protestant preachers who spend their time defending people who don't go to church. They are too busy defending the elitist douchenozzles who read the Times and have brunch on Sunday instead of Church going people.
Where I used to live there is a scavenger who goes around the 'hood on trash day and fills his pickup with scrap which he then sells. He is like Bubs from The Wire, only with a larger shopping cart.
I have been collecting scrap metal all year but realized I was not making any progress on taking it to the recycle center.
So in the spirit of Christmas I set out several hundred pounds of steel scrap for Bubs Jr. to haul away. I hope he doesn't spend it all of his proceeds on wine in a box.
It's funny Sixty but I never cared if someone spent the money I gave them on drugs or booze. I gave it to them because I wanted to. For me. Not for them. Maybe that is selfish but I don't think I should control how someone spends their money. Let them buy crack if they want. It is what they need instead of a sandwich. I don't control the world. Just the way I act. And that is hard enough most of the time.
Troop - wine in a box. As consumed by, well, never mind.
Bubs Jr. works hard for his walkin' around money. His old Chevy is showing its years. He is, too. He can spend whatever he gets on whatever he wants. Enjoy, old timer, I hope my small contribution makes his way a bit smoother this time of year.
Oh I knew what you mean Sixty. But the money from Amazon will pay for the wine boxes. That's what it is for. I mean why else do you need money to run a blog that is for free.
Trooper York, they need the money for vindication. To show they are loved. For some reason they are not feeling it.
Nicely done, Troop.
