You know the only thing I really regret about going private is all the fun I will have mocking the Green Bay and the Boston fans after the Giants win the Super Bowl.
So going private will help me stay humble.

I considered retooling the Yankee's logo but because both T and y are centro-symmetric characters there's too much overlap.

RE: those Packers, my kids (5 & 8) have recently discovered football, and so far their highlight has been watching the Packers v. Giants game with Grandpa.
(Where else in life do they get to see Grandpa cry like a little girl?)
Ah, my poor dad. He's one of those Packer fans that is one solely because we live in Minnesota and he loathes the Vikings. There are a lot of those.
My 5 year old son, however, is still pretty loose in his idea of team loyalty, and when he asked Grandpa who to root for, Grandpa told him the yellow and green guys.
"Are they winning?"
"No."
"Then I'll root for the other guys."
I think we have the makings of a New York fan, here.

Very special thanks for not going in that direction. The Jints are one thing, but when I see the Yanks' logo I reach for some garlic and a crucifix.
