Jesus is the answer!
The question is who did we trade to get one of the best young pitchers in the American League.
The Yankees traded catching prospect Jesus Montero to the Mariners acquiring Michael Pineda and another young flame thrower.Plus we signed free agent Hiroki Kuroda to a one-year deal. Two big pieces for the rotation where we were weak.
Jesus had a lot of potential but is most likely a DH type instead of a true catcher. We also had another great prospect in Austin Romine who is a better catcher with an adequate bat. So we traded a prospect at the top of his value for two live arms. What could be better than that?
It is just eight weeks or so till pitchers and catchers.
Well except for Titus. But still.
Think about the Giants winning the Superbowl and the Yankees winning the World Series.
Makes you shiver right?

Shrivel me timber.
if indeed JC is the answer, pray tell what was the question?
HD: what is 42?
Ran into a friend Friday, who's a BIG Atlanta Braves fan. He was even wearing a jersey; he always wears a Braves cap. Told him I loved this time of year, because the Mets are tied for first.
Mets suck.
The question, as always, hdhouse is why the fuck do you dump the contents of your diaper over here?
Let's go Mets!
Who am I to second guess Cashman, but wasn't Montero hyped as a natural (a la Mantle) wunderkind?
On the other hand you can't have too much pitching depth.
Here's hoping AJ Burnett takes Pineda under his wing to teach him composure.
